2nd Gen ... um, did I miss something (gold version)

    All righty. I had beaten TR in Mahogany, beat the gym, yet the ragecandybar guy still hasn't moved out of the way and Goldenrod is safe. Is there a step I missed to make them invade Goldenrod? It's been forever since I played the games.
     
    Ok, have you gone to The Lake Of Rage? You must first either catch or defeat Red Gyrados, talk to Lance, beat TR, THEN do the Gym. Other way around usually does that, even if you beat TR, it can do that. It's just a glitch with the coding in the game.
    Go down to the basement in that place where the girl says that her Grandma sells the best stuff and go down to the basement, you have to make sure that everyone is beaten there no matter what.

    Yeah true. That happened to me once, I had to do what I told Iveechu to do. I just said it from pure memory of what I did on my game.
     
    It's IveeCHAN. I did go to the lake and beat TR before the gym. This stinks, they shouldn't make the game so easy to mess up. I'm very sure that I beat every TR member (the place is empty), but the house above the hideout is still vacant.
     
    Hmmmm.... Did you beat the leader Giovanni? On, and sorry if I got your name wrong. I guess you can look up what you did wrong on Pokemon Elite 2000 or gamefaqs.com. It's all the advice I can give. Other than that, it can just be a small glitch or you have to buy a Rage Candy Bar from the guy.
     
    Gold has no Giovanni. You can't buy the ragecandybar because all he says is "I'm packing up to leave. Leave me alone sonny boy" or something like that and refuses to move out of the way. I've never had this problem before. Doesn't elm call you after beating the gym? He never did for me. And I realized that there's no way to beat the gym before beating TR in Mahogany.
     
    Hmmm.... Well go into the gym, and beat the leader there. Then the dude shall leave. Even if you already beat the leader and go inside the gym, the game should pick itself back up to speed and the guy shall move. If that does not work, try a walkthrough of your game.
     
    She beat TR, and I think she said she did that DSS. Well, if you didn't catch or defeat Red Gyrados, then there's your problem. If you did, then I suggest either restarting your game, looking through gamefaqs.com and getting a walkthrough on your game, or trading over the Red Gyrados to someone who would want it. Maybe the Red Gyrados(If you caught it) is the problem. You see, from time to time, Game Freak doesn't inspect a few games for buygs, so chances are the Red Gyrados has a bug in it since it's the most recent Pokemon you caught, right?

    Yep, that might be the cause of the guy not moving. But I'm sure that's just it. You've done everything else, so if you catch the Red Gyrados, the guy should be unblocking your path and will let you go. ^^

    But Lance doesn't show up until you defeat/catch the red Gyarados, which means that you have to do that before essentially anything else in Mahogany Town. So I'm sure Iveechan has removed the red Gyarados from the Lake of Rage.
     
    do these things:

    1.) go to lake of rage and catch/run from/defeat the shiny gyarados
    2.)talk to lance
    3.)beat TR
    4.)beat the gym leader
    5.)make sure that you've defeated chuck, morty, and jasmine
     
    I did all of that. I made sure to do everything up until this point. Still nothing. And as a note, you HAVE to defeat or catch the Gyarados before you fight tr and the gym. There is no way I could have gotten this out of order. I stepped inside and outside the gym friggin 10 times and that turd hasn't called (omg, it sounds like real life).
     
    Oh yeah, the Radio Tower thing! Just fly to Golden Rod or bike there, go to the Radio Tower, go up all the way, beat all the TR there, and get to the top. Once you've beaten them all, then I think you can go to the next gym and beat Claire. The guy should have moved if you beat TR in the Radio Tower and did everything there involving TR.
     
    Iveechan, try heading out of Mahogany. Heck, fly back to Goldenrod. I had the same problem, but to be honest, I can't remember what the fruitbat I did to get Prof. Elm to call.
     
    Ok, you go back to Goldenrod and beat them there.Since there have been repeated posts already i'll stop this in advance ^^.If you need more help on it start a new thread, it's ok XD.
