I wish I could draw. It would make things a whole lot easier, but evolution or God or whatever cosmic force you want has blessed me with two left hands, so I need your help.
Basically, I want to start a webcomic. A Pokemon webcomic. It would mainly be a satire on the games, with plenty of character-based humour too. I call it "To be a Master". Anyway, I should probably explain the plot now.
The comic centres around a group of five Pokemon - Charmander, Gardevior, Bidoof, Dratini and Grovyle. The leader is Charmander. Abandoned by his trainer, he vowed to show up the arrogant trainers by becoming Pokemon Champion with no trainer. He sets out to put together the greatest team ever assembled, but ends up with a bunch of misfits all with their own bones to pick. I'll send a more detailed character breakdown to anyone who is interested.
So together, they set off to the far side of Iddon (the region in which this comic is set) to challenge the current Pokemon Champion - a cruel, cold trainer named Red. Of course, there are problems along the way - all the usual challenges in games, a nasty, arrogant, scheming Pikachu that attempts to undermine Charmander in everything he does, and a terrifying twist that could spell doom for the entire world.... (dun dun duh indeed)
So, if anyone's interested, and hopefully someone is, I'll send you extra details. Basically how it would work is I would send you the script for a strip (strips would be about A4 sized, sometimes longer for the important strips), and you would draw the strip. I'll be pretty relaxed in the drawing department, you'll be allowed to completely do your own thing. Any art style is fine with me, from stick figures to anime. If I was to issue one warning, it's that you shouldn't take this on lightly. I have planned for it to run for a reasonably long length, but we'd go at your pace.
