Hello! I'm really new to coding and I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out how to make my party menu look like this

[PokeCommunity.com] Using PMD portraits for party sprites

I want to use the PMD portrait sprites for the party sprites

the frame of the portrait changes depending on the gender

and the background of the portrait changes if it's ready for battle, has high happiness, is fainted, or has a status affect

Well, the PMD series doesn't have all the sprites for the work. Ripped off Sprites from game can be accessed through spriters resource.
Since I am an idiot in scripting..I can't tell.
