    Thundurus- Therian form
    4 HP/252 Sp.Attk/252 Speed
    Life orb
    Volt Absorb
    Timid

    Protect
    Thunderbolt
    Grass Knot
    Hidden Power (ice)

One of my heavy hitters, with excellent coverage. Hp Ice wrecks Gliscor and most dragons.

    Whimsicott
    252 HP/ 252 Def/ 4 Sp.Def
    Prankster
    Lagging Tail
    Bold

    Protect
    Encore
    Switcheroo
    Dazzling Gleam

Really big wall that can cripple other Pokemon very very easily and can trap protect scouters and support Pokemon. Gleam is so that it is not taunt bait, plus it has excellent coverage.

    Gengar
    4 HP/ 252 Sp.Attk/ 252 Speed
    Gengarite
    Levitate-> Shadow Tag
    Timid

    Protect
    Dazzling Gleam
    Sludge Bomb
    Shadow Ball

MegaGar with whimsicott is just insane synergy. Whimsicott can cripple other pokemon and make anything faster than gengar slower via switcheroo a lagging tail. Since the opposing pokemon cannot switch out gengar is free to wreak havoc.

    Scizor
    252 HP/ 252 Attk/ 4 Speed
    Technician
    Leftovers
    Adamant

    Bullet Punch
    Protect
    Pursuit
    Brick Break

I have found screens to be uber annoying in doubles if pulled of successfully. Pursuit can trap ghosts and Latios/Lati@s(though i am not sure how much play they see in VGC any more). Priority is excellent in doubles as it can take down a threat rather easily.

    Scrafty
    252 HP/ 252 Attk/ 4 Def
    Moxie
    Roseli Berry
    Adamant

    Drain Punch
    Detect
    Fake Out
    Crunch

Fake out the opponent while another Pokemon deals with the threat. Drain Punch is to recover HP and crunch is for coverage. The Roseli Berry lets it take a non-STAB dazzling gleam.

    Vivillon
    4 HP/ 252 SP.Attk/ 252 Speed
    Compound Eyes
    Focus Sash
    Timid

    Sleep Powder
    Protect
    Bug Buzz
    Hurricane

Not set on this guy, but Viv is surprisingly fast with investment and hurricane and sleep powder always hits which is too good to pass up. Focus sash lets it continue to fight.

I could easily see Viv becoming a Quick Guard talonflame/Hawlucha though.

    Thoughts on the team?? :)

Is this meant for Smogon doubles or VGC '14? Both Whimsicott and Thundurus are banned in VGC currently. So the first thing you'll wanna do is replace those two, unfortunately. :C

Either Zapdos or Manectric would make a good replacement for Thundurus. Politoed is a good option to replace Whimsicott as it gives you much needed coverage and your new electric 'mon and both Vivillon/Scizor benefit from rain.

You'll also definitely wanna use Intimidate on Scrafty as it's a vastly superior ability in Doubles. Maybe an Assault Vest, too, as it allows you survive nukes like Char-Y's overheat. If you do go with AV, replace Detect with Stone Edge.

If you're not satisfied with Vivillon, you could try something like specs Gardevoir or scarfed Mamoswine/Salamence. It's not a bad team, just lacks a bit of coverage and power. If you're interested in more details on something I mentioned let me know. C:

I was not aware that Whimsicott and Thundurus were banned :( are they still legal in smogon doubles??

The more i test Scrafty the more i think i want intimidate on it. I might re-breed one tomorrow, though moxie has been working pretty well.

would a Lum berry be good on scizor and is quick guard Talonflame viable?

Yes, I'm pretty sure the banlist is similar to OU Singles but don't quote me on that.

Yes, Lum Berry is a great item for Scizor. Sleeps and burns are everywhere. Though, if you use a Lum Berry I'd suggest replacing Pursuit with Swords Dance because with the ability to soak a burn/sleep you could possibly find openings in which to setup SD.

Quick Guard Talonflame is certainly viable. It's more useful for walling pranksters, imo, as quick guarding against attacks is a gamble.
