I see that the Johto saga was to this day an original sequel to the Kanto saga and they did a pretty good job making Johto quiet successful just like Kanto was.

The Johto team was well train and had great moments on the show.

Brock finally came back and the original trio was back to together again.

The Johto series fillers were really memorable for most parts, but Johto was made the way it was meant to be but in a good way.

I agree with most of what you're saying except that the Johto team was trained well, I felt like the trio were using their Kanto Pokemon way too much throughout the Johto saga but I guess it wasn't that bad since Kanto was like shorter than the other regions.

I do have to argee with what you said, because they did used their Kanto teams a little too much but that was ok giving the fact Kanto was the shortest saga in the anime and Kanto was supposed be series finally of pokemon, but due to how popular pokemon still was at the time they decided to do more seasons of the show.

    Another serebii topic?

Hm. Well I have to disagree to be honest. I saw Johto as simply a sequel to Kanto/orange islands, not in anyway a remake or second Kanto. Obviously Ash did go around another region all over again, but that was simply due to advertise the games. If anything, Hoenn, Sinnoh and Unova could be seen as more of other Kanto's > Starting over, making new friends etc...

As for what you said about the teams, and fillers. I'm not quite sure where that ties in with this topic. But Ash brought along with him his old Pokémon, which goes against the starting over again somewhat. /not sure if that makes sense. And well, the fillers were just fillers.

Hoenn was nothing like Kanto at all,the only thing that made Hoenn seem like Kanto was Ash taken only Pikachu with him to the Hoenn region since in the 3 gen R/S games you couldn't transfer your old pokemon from the 1 gen and 2 gen Gameboy games into the 3 gen advance games.

Sinnoh was nothing like the Kanto region, the Sinnoh saga was just the same as the Hoenn saga but done in a much serious different way.

Unova is a new fresh start for the entire show since it focus on all of the new 5 gen pokemon that are introduce to the pokemon world.

It was cool when Ash brought his old pokemon with him to Johto giving the fact the Johto region is a sequel to the Kanto region, hopefully Ash will take his Unova team to the next 6 gen region,it can happen.

I felt Johto was much more of a sequel....like a second season Kanto. It went well I guess. I can't say that Kanto/Johto is superior to all Sagas due to the fact that the new sagas were newer, which means they have a chance to correct things and make it better in the second series.

For me, Pokemon is gradually getting better. Kanto>Johto>Hoenn>Sinnoh>Unova.

Johto for me was better than Kanto, Hoenn took a step further and was better than Johto for me. Then came Sinnoh which did almost the same job...a neat and good series. At last, Unova, I think it is so amazing in terms of twist. The only reason I can't say I love it more than the previous series is because its totally new. Its hard to drop the old trends and start something new. But Still...Unova is well made....

Johto wasn't much of a new generation in my opinion, I could feel the same feeling that I had with Kanto, mainly because the original characters are there and the Poke's introduced where somewhat quite the same with the Kanto Poke's introduced, so yeah. :'3

Well I didn't liked Johto so much... too much fillers. I know it was because Celebi where starring in a movie but still....

I enjoy Johto an whole lot since most of the fillers were really good.

Johto was the main reason why I stopped to see the series for a while. There was almost nothing that happened in the series, it felt boring, my friends also asked what is happening with it, we only saw Ash battling against Team Rocket and he almost never challenged any Trainer. It's my opinion so don't feel offended but for me Johto saga was boring.

I found Johto to be really good even if it was a little boring sometimes,it was still the best.

I still can't accept Charizard, squirtle, Pidgeot leave Ash though I think some Johto region pokemon are good, Esp. Chikorita ;)
Johto season a bit too long for me. And I just hate some of the episodes. EP222-224 What the hell is that...:( A little Lugia?

I love the Johto season being long and some of the episodes were really good, but i hated when Charizard and Squirtle had to leave but it was all for their own good, they both have gotten much stronger later on.
