Yeah...I'd advise reading the tutorials too...=/ For recoloring, always do the outlines as well.

My advice: when doing a recolor, decide what color to make the Pokemon, and then find another pokemon that is that color. Then, using the eyedropper tool on Paint, left click on the base color that you want to get rid of, and right click on the desired recolor. Then right click the eraser, and rub it over the sprite. Do this again for each corresponding highlight color, shadow color, and outline color, and you've got an instant recolored sprite. (A few pixels might not color over for some reason, just improvise on those and recolor by hand with whatever shade looks best.)

Also...devamps are way more than just recolors. G/S sprites had only two different colors, and no shades, and had a ton of checker-shaded white for highlights. The outlines were all black except for some colored of the darker of the two sprite colors. R/B, surprisingly, were more complex, with one color, but two shades of it, allowing for shadowing (which was often black as well), and lots of colored outlines, and white highlights, and random pixels along the outline.

    Here's a R/B-style example.

See...only one color (blue), but two shades of it. Lots of blue outlines and black shadows, and all highlights are white.

Try doing a new recolor and see how it turns out. ;)

They aren't that bad. Anyways, for the devamp, don't just darken the colors, actually dveamp to another game.

Dude There are some of the badest sprites i ever have see make better ones
the only who is a lil bit good it the sunkaril

Dear god dude, don;t go there, nearly every tutorial is useless/wrong.

My opinion on your work is, those aren't devamps, just recolours, but better than the usual crap that comes out on this forum, so kudos for that, the Sunflora thing is easy as hell, try harder.

Another bit of advice, never, ever listen to How to Sprite, use tutorials that know what they're on about, like the ones here.

All of those are valuable, accurate tutorials that help you achieve far more than the bare minimum.

Oh and Chibi, G/S technically has 4 colours, hence why it's 8bit and not 4bit, black and white count towards the colour limit.

With an attitude like that, you've won my respect already :D
