    I thought it was pretty good.

    I laughed when Chimecho used Astonish on TR. Which is the first time I've found TR amusing since.... Johto, I guess.
     
    I liked the part where May and Liza say, "Don't you dare mess with my little brother!" Hehehehehe...That was funny!

    The seventh Hoenn Gym Leader(s), let's take a look.

    A pity the Magma/Aqua operation on the Space Center couldn't have been canonized but then they did dissolved the orgs in the previous episode, so yeah.

    Just some observations. I'm too braindead to write a full one.

    Anyone notice Max's Professor Tomoe shtick standing out really strongly here? They have used those glasses for that but here, the thought process makes the schism more blatant.

    Tate and Liza's intro is rather adoring as they have more of a shtick with the Space Center and at least a correction on the previous GL Winona, with the omission of the tree houses.

    Who else enjoyed the Star Trek reference to Commander Jim and Team Rocket's signature song "Team Rocket's Rockin' " lyric reference?

    At least Team Rocket is used more effectively here (yet didn't blast off when the yellow rat shocked them, really odd) although the only part of the episode that bother me deeply is how the Baltoy just knew went to instinctively pop in and stop the shuttle. They just appeared. We don't know if it was a psychic bond (like Sabrina with her Kadabra) or what. Someone please pay the writers to go to writing school and teach them to write better climaxes? I'm weary of all this deus ex machina writing and they're writing it a lot lately.

    And May is getting Ash's brutality streak as she is dealing with the Rockets. Yay.

    One interesting note: the animation is more vibrant than usual. It's no doubt an apology for the threadbare animation of the previous episode.

    That plus the writing with the banter (either 4Kids or the translation) made the Twins' introduction most enjoyable.

    And that title...if it wasn't for Team Rocket's successful hijack of the shuttle, that name would be more misleading, in that of it would be more of a bad pun. Particularly as Rocket usually means Team Rocket, so yeah, confusing title a might.

    I'll write a review more in depth later.
     
    My turn! Wasn't planning to watch this one but umm.... Still good to see. It not a complete filler eps because it introduce a gym leader.

    Title: Horrible. It a bad pun and makes no sense to anything except it had a rocket in it.

    Ash once again shows his evil determaine side. Shows a difference since his Jhoto days.

    Max shows his cunning I-am-smarter-then-Ash-so-I-can-scam-him-to-do-what-I-want attitude. Like the effect of his glasses shine to show his evil side.

    The writers made a mess up with Ash's dialong.

    Remember this: Ash and Co were inside the space center and looking at the space equpment. Then Ash and Pikachu went to the spinning thing. Ash said this,"I haven't rode one fo these things since I been to the carinval

    Later in eps: Back at the space equpment room, May says to Ash, "Looks like he(Tate) did better then you."

    Ash resonse, "Well it was my first time."

    Ash/writters just made him counterdict what he said. Because why did he say it rode one in a carinval the later say it was his first time that day. Make no sense. I just though I say that about the eps. The writers need to be a bit more careful about things like that.

    I like what TR did in this eps and made me wonder why they are called TR if they don't have a rocket. I don't like their daydreams of "The Boss". I like it better when his face was hidden in shadows. Get try on hijacking the rocket.

    I thougth that Liza and Tate will be shown as more child-like as they do in the game. They look child-like. Don't judge a book by its cover.

    One rant I like to say is: Why didn't they banned this one eps. After what happen in Japan with the earthquake thing and the recent official banning of the Shaking Island eps. I be thinking they will ban it because of the Columbia Crash and the 9/11 hijackings. They should banned it because of the same reason of the Shaking Island. The only reason why they did show it because it introduce te gym leaders and if they just skip to the gym battle and saw that Ash and Co. are friends then people will be confused but not like they haven't done that already with the Ash/Tauros eps. But that what I think.

    Becasue of personal anger about the recent banning and why not this one plus some writer's mistake I rate this on 4/10.
     
    Yes, Ash meant it was his first time on a REAL one. That's obvious.

    corganzero: Chimecho never managed to use Astonish. That was Baltoy's Confusion.

    They could have done SO MUCH more with the shuttle (have Ash ride it [like they implied with the commercials], put some important cargo in it, etc.) as well as a lot of other things in the episode that it's annoying (did anyone else notice how Brock never really went love-crazy?)...but it was still a good episode.
     
    Like I said, I was just ranting and compliaining about the eps. Sometimes I don't like it when something that simple was over looked.

    Like I said, it wouldn't be the first time they left a plothole by skipping a show. Does any american viewer without the use of the internet knows how Ash have gotten all those Tauros? He does use a Tauros every so offen and I was wondering where he got them. Then I found out by Serebii. If they skip this eps then it be the Tauros thing all over again but much sooner. THe only important thing that happen in this eps is the introducion of the gym leaders. What important thing happen the Tauros eps was Ash catching a bunch of Tauros. Now they saying a gym leader of the moment is more important then a pokemon that Ash will have like forever.

    I just got a peeve for ban eps like how they banned all the (black) Jynxs becasue she suppost to be racial and not banned a certain black-color hooded pokemon that Ash will soon get. That another rant.

    It just my personal thoughts right now. I do kinda agree with Ichapokemr on how they can do so much more with the rocket that can invole Ash and co more.

    About the wonderful debate, you're right reyna, but there is one big distinction with the banned episodes. They're all filler. None of the plot advances an iota beyond the Tauros capturing in the Safari Zone one and even then, they were just there and convenient (AG saves the fillers with an evolution or capture all the time). And I doubt 4Kids knew when they banned it that the Japanese producers would use the Tauros again and jammed them up. Now here, this is a major plot point as Nintendo crams the badges down our throat and it would be too big of an omission.

    I would think it would be like a Beauty and the Beach airing if that were true. One time airing and that's it.

    And besides, the dub removed the name Columbia just to make sure to cover their bases. But yeah.

    About the Jynx thing and Snorunt, yeah, but Jynx and her black face shtick isn't subtle as Snorunt so hence not as much as heat. Funny, as I love both.

    Ok. Glad you like the episode but did you had to revive the tread after four months? Also if you wanted to post your personal information then do that in the section for it like he new member section and not on a tread to discuss an episode.

    I still hold my opinion about this episode on most things but let not discuss that anymore.
