Tricky Puzzle

Harry was walking in the park when he saw his friend, Danny. He saw that Danny had his eyes closed. Harry asked him if he was OK and Danny said he was very tired because he had carried a tree for five miles. Harry told Danny he was either a liar or completely mad! However, Danny was able to prove he did, in fact, carry a tree for five miles. How was that possible?
