the game starts off when you and your family move into sunbeam town.after you look aroung the town you will bump into a stresssed out man and a boy about your age the man asks for your help to deliver a egg to proffeser evergreen and proffeser finkle so you and your new rival head out to freshfall city to deliver the eggs it wil hach so from there you start your journey!

.help out at the shops and the pokemone centeres
.brush wash and feed your pokemone
.become the best pokemone cooadinater or trainer

You should also figure out how to move from one island to another.
Sometimes it could be a simple boat taking you across the sea, but in the game distance will be a real factor like in R/S when you hitch a ride with the captain for instance.

yeah like i was thinking on your way to freshfall city you get attcked by team crystal and to move around the island you will have to do task,,battle and sometimes they let you on for free!
