The only Pokemon who can really stop special sweepers are Blissey, Snorlax, and Regice.

    Blissey @Leftovers
    Seismic Toss
    Thunder Wave/Ice Beam/Counter
    Aromatherapy
    Softboiled

Blissey is the best special wall ever since special attack will do nothing to it with all that HP and Sp. Defense. Plus, it can heal your team with Aromatherapy which is extremely useful. Thunder Wave used to be standard, but Ice Beam is there for Ghosts, and Counter to surprise physical attackers.

    Snorlax @Leftovers
    Body Slam
    Earthquake/Shadow Ball
    Rest
    Curse

While Blissey is good as a special wall, it can't really attack. Snorlax can though, so if you want a Pokemon with less HP but a lot more Attack, than Snorlax is your guy. The standard Curselax is nearly unstoppable if it gets a couple of Curses in.

    Snorlax @Leftovers
    Double-Edge
    Earthquake/Shadow Ball
    Rest
    Sleep Talk

Stalker Lax came around when people were using the new Metal Sound Zapdos, who can defeat a normal Curselax while it slept. So people gave it Sleep Talk so it can still attack while sleeping.

    Regice
    Ice Beam
    Thunderbolt
    Psych Up
    Rest

Regice can handle Metal Sound Zapdos as well as other special attackers. Psych Up is used against all those Calm Minders. After Psych Up, you'll gain all their special boosts for yourself.
