I was gone for awhile, maybe close to a few months, and when I got back, the social Club/Groups were gone? Can someone explaon why?

They were horribly inactive, so they were abolished.

That sucks, i think most of it were people making some that nobody joined and making the same social club/group.. but it was fun there :/ I spent alot of time in that area

It was a removal that we really did think quite a bit about before implementing, if memory serves correctly. Honestly though, the different club boards around here serve much the same purpose, and they were just more active from the get-go.

Social Groups just never quite took off here at PC. ]:

I think you're seriously the first one to bring up those groups since they were removed XD

Goes to show how bad/unpopular they really were. The club forums already served their purpose anyways.

Well, I was tempted to bring them up, because I was quite fond of social groups. There was an announcement a few months back saying the decision had been discussed heavily, so casually bringing the matter up again seemed a bit rude.

I do prefer groups to threads though. You can self-maintain them, and if the owner isn't doing their job, mods could appoint a new one. I was also going to suggest mini-mods (lol I know) for the social groups, who are appointed to manage groups when the owner leaves / doesn't want to.

If the groups weren't being used though, those benefits are moot.
