Question: What is StatCounter?

When the page is loading, a link to StatCounter appears, but no counter appears as an image. What is it's purpose?

To my understanding, PokéCommunity is included on a few forum listings that track the amount of posts created, visitors, threads, member counting, etc. Typically,... that's the only point of a stat counter at all, so...

I'm kind of confused what you mean about images, though. :|

It's a javascript stat counter, not an hit counter image.

It along with google-analytics, quantcast, big-boards track the unique visits and pageviews, usage stats, time on site, pages viewed and entered/exited from, and other statistical data.

It has no real end user purpose or effect, but it is used by us to see how well PC is doing in the long term VS various other similar sites.
