4th Gen What is the longest game play time you can get?

Just as i was playing my Pokemon Pearl and saving the game, i noticed my game play time and its at 30 something hours and a few mins. So i was wondering what is the limit time you can get and what happens if you reach to the limit?

i think there is no limit to the time as no one well never stop playing and if there was no one well reach that limit

I don't see the game getting over 999. There has to be some point where it resets, otherwise, the numbers would just carry on off the screen.

maybe they'll just use other symbols like in red/blue when you did the masterball cheat lol

In the older games when it got to 999 the counter just stopped, you could still save.
