1st Gen What is The Worst thing of Red/Blue (revied topic)

This is another thing that bugged me about red/blue/yellow. Anyone notice that the moves were a lot less accurate? I've had rock slide miss 3 times in a row, and Tackle seems to miss every 5 turns (both have 90 accuracy I think, give or take). Even moves with 100 accuracy like Psychic would miss once in awhile. And for some reason, Brock's Onix is immune to Poison Sting, but that move should actually do minimal damage, not zero. In GSC and beyond, I've never had a 100 accuracy move miss unless the enemy was evasive of course.

Oh yeah, and a lot of dual types had messed up weaknesses. Fighting was strong to Jynx but weak to normal/flying types, but Fighting should do normal damage to both. Dragonite was strong to Electric, Bulbasaur was strong against Poison but weak against Ground, all of those should take normal damage from the respective moves. Also Gyarados was weak to Ice but resistant to Grass (I think Aerodactl was grass-resistant too), and Nidoking and Tentacruel were also resistant to Grass, once again, all should take normal damage.

How you can only walk, and not use the running shoes. I never realized just how annoying that was until ruby came out.

You know what i dont like? the graphics are reallllyyyy bad lol it could use more color.....

This is what I think about the things that stand out about Gen1 that irritate me.

Lavender Town and its graveyard tower's music, along with Cinnabar's abandoned lab's, are sheer seizure-inducing madness! I love most of the music in the game, but those are grave exceptions.

The inventory space, or lack there of, is a real dread. I doubt newcomers would be readily prepared to play Gen1 if they'd play a newer gen, so to me, it stands out. It's an issue in other games besides Gen1 Pokemon like Earthbound, so this isn't really a Pokemon-specific complaint, but within the context of the series itself, it's a Gen1-specific problem.

Jynx's sprite. Kill it with fire!

Though it doesn't quite count, needing Cut to progress (Flash if you haven't memorized the Rock Tunnel map) but you can catch duplicates of wild mons to correct it, so this is a much milder complaint than the above.

Hope I didn't miss anything. :)
