What? Katalyst has a graphics showcase?

A'ight people, this is my first showcase. I've been doing my own themes for a while, and with all the themes I got saved here, I thought of making a small showcase. (THIS IS NOT A REQUEST THREAD.)

Do not use any of these banners without permission. (Why would anyone want to use them anyway?)

All of these banners were made using tutorials (After all, these are just my first banners), and I already know I suck at this, so don't tell me that, OK? XDDD

My first one. Features Goku from the Dragon Ball series.

I liked the way this one turned out. Made in the times everyone were using vertical signatures... Features Link from the Legend of Zelda series.

My first try at the smudge brushes. Features Cloud from Kingdom Hearts.

Kinda plain, no? Features Cloud from Kingdom Hearts (again).

Ugh, I suck at C4D using (*points at guy's left side of his face*). Features Toshiro Hitsugaya from Bleach.

This one was made while I was practising with the smudge brushes. Features the main guy from Crysis (a video game).

This one isn't something I worked much hard on. I think it didn't turn out bad, but... Features Spyro from The Legend of Spyro.

Nothing to say about this one. Features Lucario from Pokémon.

I placed the render too much to the left, making the right side kinda plain... Features Link from the Legend of Zelda series.

Argh, I screwed up on this one. (*points at Goku's left hand*) Features Goku from the Dragon Ball series.

I <3 this one. The gradient map combination (5 different gradient maps at different blending modes) turned out really well, no? Features Link from the Legend of Zelda series.

Ugly color scheme, but I didn't get a better one for Naruto... Features Naruto from... uh... Naruto. -_-

Nothing to say about this one too. Features Gohan from the Dragon Ball series.

This is the proof that I really REALLY suck at using C4D's. It's plain too. -_- Features (Unknown).

Ah, this one turned out better. It's my current theme. Features Link from the Legend of Zelda series.

You definitely have some potential. These are pretty good, Katalyst. I especially like the 5 gradient Link render one. That's your best in my opinion.

You have some real potential like .freak said.
I think the next thing to do is work on using C4D's or special effects. They will eliminate empty space and make your background more appealing. I think that is the only thing you are lacking as you seem to have the basics covered.

Just to say, your 5th banner's Render was Toshiro Hitsugaya from Bleach.

I gotta say, your banners are very good for a beginner I like them and I don't know why you said they were rubbish. I know you'r C4D's were bad but just pray that they weren't like mine (even worse than my cooking :P.)
