What Pokémon should I add to my Ultra Sun team?

Hi all,

Right now I'm at Akala Island and just finished the second trial (obtained Waterium Z). I am not completely content with my team. This is my current team:

- Flaaffy lv. 24 (Hidden Power as Bug);
- Carvanha lv. 18 (obtained via GTS and breeding);
- Dartrix lv. 27;
- Machoke lv. 30;
- Lycanroc Dusk Form lv. 26;
- Zorua lv. 26.

I am not really feeling it with Zorua. Its ability is kinda funny to use in friendly battles, but I do not really see use of its ability in-game.

I rather not use any of the Pokémon that I used during my Pokémon Moon play-through; Snorlax, Incineroar, Crobat, Feraligatr, Vikavolt and Alakazam.
The Pokémon that I was thinking about for my team are Noibat (but it evolves at 48), Salazzle or one of the Eeveelutions.

What Pokémon would you recommend to add to my team?

Well 3rd island gives you access to some pretty cool dragon types like Flygon, Garchomp, and Turtonator. Also you'll have the ability to catch a Mimikyu which has a highly prized typing of both Ghost and Fairy. I'd ditch the Zorua unless you really love it. No sense in having 2 dark types and Sharpedo gives you the water typing for your team so there's that to consider. Also Lycanroc is a bit overrated tbh. I find that you'll have more use for a ground typing with some rock type moves then vice versa. Pallosand can be a solid choice as well. I find fighting types pretty solid for these games overall so i would not ditch machoke and have someone help you evolve it if it were me.

Thanks Tom2! I love Flygon, so I think that will be a good choice for me! Also Mimukyu is very good candidate. Totem Mimikyu would be awesome to add to my team haha.

I found using Lycanroc and Zorua a bit too samey. A lot on your team learn similar moves. You could diversify that way, although I'm not sure with what. There's quite a lot learning dark moves on there.
