what programs should i used to make sprites?

all i have is paint. so can any1 tell me what i should used and where to find pics to mess with?

You can find sprites at pe2k. Most people use paint, there's nothing bad about it. You don't need photoshop to sprite.

MSPaint is the main program that most beginner pixel artists use. Anything else is too much and hence unrequired.
