    I'm making a hacked rom. I've read the tutorials, etc. My question is, what would be the best way to start? Is it making a map? If so, can someone give me a link to a tutorial that covers the whole Advance Map thing? Including how to create a whole new map from scratch, etc. I want to make my own region. Help?

    EDIT: I figured it out. Now can someone give me a link to some nice tilesets? Thankyou. :)

    If you're looking to ease yourself in, I would leave tileset editing for a while. It's not too hard, but can be a little frustrating.

    I would recommend making a map in A-Map, placing some 'person events' in the events tab and using 'XSE' to try some scripting! Once you have downloaded and unzipped a copy of XSE go:

    Advance Map: Settings -> Choose script editor -> XSE

    Then, when you click on an existing event you should see an 'open script' tab in the sidebar. Click open and you'll see some lovely script! Have a poke around, then have a read of This amazing tutorial to get an understanding of what is going on.
