I'm playing Omega Ruby and I'm having trouble making my team. Since Ruby was my very first Pokémon game, there are a lot of Pokémon I really like in the Hoenn region, but obviously I can only pick six.
I have 2 badges right now and I'm definitely keeping these two:
Swampert
Shiftry
And I'm thinking of a few others, maybe Swalot, Grumpig, Skarmory, Camerupt, Torkoal, Magcargo, Aggron, Altaria, Armaldo...
The problem is HMs, especially with Dive, Waterfall and Surf. There's no way I'm giving them all to Swampert since I don't want him to have 3 water moves. But if I give one of those HMs to a different Pokémon, they most likely must be Water type but I don't want another Water type.
And if I get a non-Water Pokémon with Surf, Swampert will have 2 physical water moves and no special water moves.
Also, should I bother with a flying Pokémon at all? Because I heard you can fly Latios/Latias whenever you want.
Anyway, if you can please help me out!
