I lost my ruby version and I was wondering if I should buy another ruby version or buy one of the newer games.

it sux that you lost your ruby version but i suggest you buy a newer game...if its pokemon then by emerald, its kool.

Man that really sucks... I had lost my Sapphire in which I had catch all 201 (excluding Deoxys) and it was really sad, but I found it at last :D
I would recommend you as well to buy a new game. For me, if you don't have FireRed or LeafGreen they would be better than emerald. I prefer Kanto to Hoenn anyway, and Kanto Pokemon to Hoenn Pokemon ;)

if ur into the new generation pokemon buy Emerald, if your into the old generation buy firered or leaf green

Definitely buy Emerald. No other versions come close to it.

He should get all 3 because certain Pokemon can't be found in other versions like I said before.
