When Pokémon X and Y were first announced, almost each and every one of us that are currently viewing this thread must have thought of at least one feature that they would like see make it into the games. For you, what was it, and why? Was this feature wound up to be available in-game in some way or form? If yes, then how did you react, and if no, did it disappoint you?

One feature I had personally liked seeing was walking Pokémon, as I considered it to be pretty cute. Unfortunately, they didn't implement it, but it didn't exactly bother me, as they made up for it with introduction of Amie (which I find to be equally as adorable).

Back during the speculation days, I made a post somewhere in this forum about wanting to be able to mass store Pokémon in the cloud and be able to transfer them from one game to another, and it ended up happening! :D Though not exclusive to XY, Pokémon Bank allowed us to transfer 30 Pokémon from Gen. 5 to Gen. 6 and also allowed us to store thousands of Pokémon from Gen. 6!

Another feature that I wanted was an overhaul to the weather system. I wanted weather to be disabled indoors and, if a battle ended while being under the effects of a type of weather, then I wanted the overworld to be temporarily afflicted by the weather as well.

I believe this was either my first or second post ever :o

Disabling weather indoors does make sense! In real life, unless you somehow manage to get clouds into your house (or any other place), it won't be raining, snowing, or hailing, and if there's no sun around, there wouldn't be any... well, sunlight, haha. Though, I could still imagine certain conditions to work in particular locations. One example would be sandstorm; if you're in a cave, there's likely to be dusts, which could be blown by Pokémon to create that effect.

Yes, sandstorms in caves would make sense since there is dust to be blown around, but maybe weather comes from the Pokémon itself and not the atmosphere? That seems like the only way for weather indoors to make sense haha. But the virtual green/blue room (where you battle other real players) seems like a place where weather could be created.

Anyways, I also wanted to see Fog return as an actual battle effect. I don't like how it's only an actual weather in D/P/Pt, and it seems really strange to not include it in the newer games since it was fully integrated into battling. Now we have Defog, which went from an HM to any other status attack D:
