It's jut rep, turn it off if you don't like it. I'm not letting this break into a flame thread...
Wait a second, you closed a thread that a member made asking for help over some very touchy issues, such as homosexuality and usage of derogatory terms, and then told him to turn his rep off? There's nothing anyone can do about people giving out bad rep, but did you even think twice about the comments the person left? And if you have taken care of the member, or plan to speak to him/her about those comments, please state so, so that threads like these don't get made. :)

Oh yes, could you change his sig while you're at it? For some readers, that completely ruins the enjoyment of reading that book, and considering the large population of HP fans at PC, that's just not nice.

PS, how was that going to break into a flame thread? Obviously, his rep is off right now, and he didn't argue within the thread, infact, he didn't post again within that thread. Who was expected to flame?

Fact still stands he could have PMed higher staff about it (which he did already). Members are expected to read the FAQ. The thread was about rep, so I closed it. And it did seem as if it was going into the direction of a flame war. And I wasn't talking about comments from other members, I was talking about the thread starter himself. As you saw, he was angry and and the thread would have gone that way.

    EDIT-

I've gone ahead and deleted the reps that he got and left a usernote for each one that bad repped him. The usernotes aren't for bad repping, but for using the words they did in a derogatory manner. Also, it would have helped a lot more if you could have named the member who's sig you wanted me to edit and not simply put it as "his".

That's just fantastic. It's always better to enforce all of the rules at once even if the member doesn't remind you, that way, when someone as hypocritical and picky as myself comes along, you don't have to ignore their *****ing(it's whine, I swear) and decide to ban them later ;)

And ofcourse, I'm not saying this out to any staff member in particular, because that would be unfair, considering that I hate most of PC's staff. Just consider it another helpful guideline from Brittany :D

Oh yes, you can lock the thread if you would like, I don't need it anymore ^_^
