It was stated that A special edition 2DS combined with Pokémon Sun or Pokémon Moon was also announced during nintendo direct. Also part of bobandbills article :)

I completely understand! :) the only reason that i even noticed it was because of the daily article that was posted! I do not think that there has been a price set for it yet, but i believe that it is going to be released after sun and moon are out.
