4th Gen When did GTS stop trading Classic Ribbon

    As we all know that you cant put any Pokemon in the GTS if it has a Classic Ribbon.
    But I know Nintendo has done updates to the GTS and I wanted to know when they did this update to stop Classic Ribbon on the GTS, becasue I have a Darkrai Theater July 14 (The Darkrai you get from seeing the 10th Movie) around this time last year from a friend on my IM's and he just recently told me he had it from GTS..so does this mean is it a fake allthough all the stats/moves and has the Ribbon..evrything looks real but I just wanted to make sure around when was the update as he could have gotten it from GTS and less likely to me make it a Fake before Nintendo stopped the Classic Ribbon on GTS.

    The GTS never allowed you trade Classic Ribbon pokemon and probably never will. Your friend is probably lying as to where he got it or may had been mistaken. If you offer or ask for a Darkrai on the GTS, your Pokemon will fail to appear if another person searches for a Darkrai or the Pokemon you offered. The only way he could've gotten it is to exchange Friend Codes with another person and trade over the WFC.
     
    Ok thanks for you answer but if anyone else knows this is true (not that i dont beleive jman617) please reply, this means that Darkrai ive had for a year is totaly FAKE but tis weird cos it has all the moves/cherish ball/ribbon like a normal event would. If theres somin I should check like stats ill be happy to write it down so anyone can check but back to main question is anyone 100% there was no update after July 14 2007 that you couldnt not trade Classic Ribbion or has it been like that all the time.

    Becase if there was an update after July 14th I would presussme my Darkrai is Legit

    I'd assume he did that, as you could never trade a Pokemon with a Classic Ribbon on the GTS. He probably obtained it through a cheating device and then lied.
