I have some problems with a member and need to complain about it, but don't know which higher up to go to?? I don't want to pm the mod of the section as they appear to (how do you say it??) be in on the same thing, in other words!!
Just an answer please!! Thanks!! :)

any of the orange, green, or red names.. they can deal directly with whatever issue you may be having.

I have tried that before and was told to go to the mod of the section that the member I was having an issue with??

If you do indeed have an issue with a moderator of a particular section, then you should definitely PM a higher staff member (s-mod and above), and they will most certainly look into it. Just be sure to specify what the problem is, and be respectful and such. If it's just a question/issue about a forum in general, then you'd go right to the mod of that section in most cases. Hope that clears things up.

No it's not a problem with a mod, it's just a problem with a member of a thread that the mod is involved with, you know like the member started the thread and the mod join it as a multi member thread??

If you have a problem with a member and you don't think the mod will help, you should probably still contact them anyway since mods are supposed to be impartial. But if it really makes you uncomfortable, PM a higher staff member and let them know.

:/ And you should also mention the mod's name to said staff member because if a mod seems unapproachable, or is turning a blind eye to someone who's making other uncomfortable, that has to be dealt with too.

PM the mod for that section, they are there to help. Explain it to the mod and they will take care of it.

I would feel more comfortable contacting some one higher, but if I tell the mods name would they be reprimanded in any way?? I don't won't that to happen either!! :)

If they're doing something wrong, then yes, I suppose they would be reprimanded in some way and asked to improve. It isn't as if they would be demoted or anything... but mods are not supposed to seem unapproachable.

I have been talking to this mod for years and consider her a friend, but on this as she is in the together with the member as a partner in a thread, I do not feel like I can ask her for help??

As Lightning said, mods are suppose to be impartial. The mod should be able to put friendships aside and take care of the situation fairly. If the md can't be impartial then I think the higher staff should know.

They probably wouldn't really be reprimanded or anything, but we would talk to them and just let them know to loosen up a bit and be more open with the members or watch their biases.

And even if we don't do anything, it's nice to know who to... I don't want to say "keep an eye on" because it sounds so formal and serious but it's the best phrase to say what I mean. @_@ It lets us know who's doing an effective job and what techniques don't seem to be working.

~RNC~, you can complain about me all you want to. Since you know, I haven't been anywhere near as rude, or whatever it is you're on about and trying to make people believe I am. It honestly seems like you just have some vendetta against me for some god awful reason. It also seems like that when I tell someone something that may not like, you take offense to it. It's like you want me to sugarcoat everything and feed people in bit-size portions.

Also, TwilightBlade isn't "looking the other way" when it comes to my behavior in Trade Corner, which has improved since I was warned three times (lol @ the two from Rukario though <3). She actually takes her position seriously and gives me hell whenever I used to slip up. And you may say, "Well she can't be taking it too seriously or she would be warning or infracting you". Hardly. This site seems really warn happy and ready to pounce at a moments notice. And half the "bad stuff" I do is hardly warning warranted. So don't try dragging her into this.

Besides, ~RNC~, contact Aura if you think Blade is my being my buddy too much. He is after mod of Trade Corner anyway, lol.

tl;dr: ~RNC~, has apparent problems with me when I haven't directly said anything to her to begin with, unless it was to point out a hack. And to save some poor mod trouble, I openly posted here what shes on about. You may now release your full wrath upon me for some make believe notion that I'm a horrible person.

Ooookay then. The question has a sufficient answer, so I'll be closing this to prevent any potential problems.

This is sort of the kind of thing you take to a PM, you know.
