[Other] Where doI really start?

Umm, hi its been 3 days since i found this site.

Hacking roms are really more complicated than i have imagined :( especially when its your first time.
I have asked few people for assistance, but their all busy, can't blame them.

So, i think what i want is to be specifically introduced to the main tools that i need to use? Mostly on the scripting part... its really a different style compared to the scripting in other rpg making programs :) there, you can just copy-paste scripts. Here i still don't have a clear idea on how to...

I have managed to figure out on how to use the advance map tool to edit. i have already edited pallet town :3 but, still not the "event" part...
so, when i play the game i see the changed town but i cant go to route 1.

Im hoping for a kind welcome assistance :)
