I don't suggest fan made types like Sound-type, Light-type. But you can still include them in if you like...
You have the right to say what ever you want. But be friendly, if you disagree with someone's opinion, say it nicely not in a mean way, even you don't like it. Also remember to post your own type addition/change, because this thread is for giving your own opinion and not for judging my opinion!
Type change can be base on appearance and/or moves.

    Charizard - Fire-type/Dragon-type
    Blastoise - Water-type/Steel-type
    Golduck - Water-type/Psychic-type
    Kangaskhan - Rock-type/Fighting-type
    Gyarados - Water-type/Dragon-type
    Pinsir - Bug-type/Fighting-type
    Hoothoot - Flying-type/Psychic-type
    Noctowl - Flying-type/Psychic-type
    Ledian - Bug-type/Fighting-type
    Sudowoodo - Rock-type/Grass-type
    Girafarig - Psychic-type/Dark-type
    Dunsparce - Ground-type
    Linoone - Normal-type/Ground-type
    Beautifly - Bug-type/Grass-type
    Dustox - Bug-type/Psychic-type
    Azurill - Water-type
    Volbeat - Bug-type/Electric-type
    Illumise - Bug-type/Electric-type
    Carvanha - Water-type
    Numel - Fire-type
    Torkoal - Fire-type/Rock-type
    Lunatone - Ice-type/Psychic-type

    Glalie - Ice-type/Dark-type
    Gorebyss - Water-type/Psychic-type

I really think it would make more sense for Gyarados and Milotic to be Water/Dragon, but Gyarados being Water/Flying is just to hinder it. Besides Water/Dragon are incredibly hard to beat (Kingdra, that means you), so it might be best they aren't. Charizard should be Fire/Dragon (Fire/Flying is a terrible combo), but obviously that would make a Dragon type too easy to obtain. Why Piplup/Prinplup/Empoleon aren't Water/Ice, I have no idea, but how can one make a penguin Pokemon and not make part Ice?! It's stupid! Also, I've always found it really stupid that Psyduck & Golduck are given Psychic powers, but aren't part Psychic! Argh, it drives me crazy! And finally, I think Geodude and Graveler don't really to be part Ground.(Not just because of the horrible type combo, but because it doesn't make sense. They seem like normal rocks to me. Golem I can see being Rock/Ground, but not Geodude and Graveler.)

I agree with the Golduck and Hoothoot/Noctowl changes, but the rest should probably stay the same.

Although, I remember I used to constantly think that Suicune was a Ice, not Water >.> (because of the bird trio mostly)

Such in depth analysis for a fully hypothetical situation that will never occur, really necersarry? It's a bit of fun =]

Mewtwo would be cool as a Psi/Dark poke, given the nature of its creation and liberation.

I totally agree on this one... But does that make it uber??

    Azelf - Psychic-type/Water-type
    Mespirit - Psychic-type/Water-type
    Uxie - Psychic-type/Water-type

    Manaphy - Water-type/Psychic-type

I think that (in bold changes):

    Uxie - Psychic/Electric
    Mesprit - Psychic/Dark
    Azelf - Psychic/ Water
    Purugly - Normal/Dark
    Lopunny - Normal/Fighting
    Bunneary - Normal/Fighting
    Miloctic - Water/Ice

The rest is, I think, a better combo.

    Suicune Water/Ice
    Articuno Ice/Water
    Manectric Electric/Fire
    Dunsparce Normal/Dragon

Because it learns several fire type moves, I really like it too, but that would be a terrible type change because 4x Ground weakness

    Also
    Mew Psychic/Light
    Arceus Light
    Mewtwo Dark/Psychic
    Togekiss Light/Flying

    Charizard - Fire-type/Dragon-type
Blastoise - Water-type/Steel-type --> There was no Steel type in Gen I
    Golduck - Water-type/Psychic-type
Kangaskhan - Rock-type/Fighting-type --> I can understand fighting, but why rock?
    Gyarados - Water-type/Dragon-type
    Pinsir - Bug-type/Fighting-type
    Hoothoot - Flying-type/Psychic-type
    Noctowl - Flying-type/Psychic-type
    Ledian - Bug-type/Fighting-type
    Sudowoodo - Rock-type/Grass-type
    Girafarig - Psychic-type/Dark-type --> Why dark?
    Dunsparce - Ground-type --> A ground type with Levitate?
    Linoone - Normal-type/Ground-type
    Beautifly - Bug-type/Grass-type
    Dustox - Bug-type/Psychic-type
    Azurill - Water-type
    Volbeat - Bug-type/Electric-type
    Illumise - Bug-type/Electric-type
    Carvanha - Water-type
    Numel - Fire-type
    Torkoal - Fire-type/Rock-type
Lunatone - Ice-type/Psychic-type --> This one is very odd. What makes Lunatone, ice?
    Solrock - Fire-type/Psychic-type
    Milotic - Water-type/Dragon-type
    Glalie - Ice-type/Dark-type
    Gorebyss - Water-type/Psychic-type
    Huntail - Water-type/Dark-type
    Bagon - Dragon-type/Rock-type
--> What makes these two rock?
    Shelgon - Dragon-type/Rock-type
    Empoleon - Water-type/Ice-type
    Budeew - Grass-type
    Buneary - Fighting-type
    Lopunny - Fighting-type
    Purugly - Dark-type
    Drapion - Poison-type/Dragon-type --> I don't see dragon in this pokemon.
    Mantyke - Water-type
    Azelf - Psychic-type/Water-type
    Mespirit - Psychic-type/Water-type --> See bottom
    Uxie - Psychic-type/Water-type
    Manaphy - Water-type/Psychic-type
Why should the lake trio be part water? Just because their cave in a lake doesn't mean their water.

Also, the reason that Gyarados, Charizard, etc. are part flying is because the only dragon type move in Generation I was Dragon Rage.

What would happen the the movesets of the pokemon that you've listed? How would competitive battling be altered?

These changes would severely alter the games.

Thats why it would be changed because there was no Steel type in 1st gen, Magneton was a first gen pokemn too.

I'm too lazy to answer your questions and doubt...

Thanks for answering her... She didn't know that Lunatone can learn Ice-type moves(Ice Beam, Blizzard)... She didn't know that Flygon is a Ground-type with Levitate; she didn't know that Dunspace's ability is not Levitate... The most important thing is... We're not serious on changing the types of Pokemon... Darn I don't wanna answer her...

Lots of people want charizard and gyarados to be dragon type, but I don't really think thats too good of an idea. Charizard becoming a dragon would make it unfair cause it would resist both of the starters and make it way to easy to get a dragon. Gyarados could be dragon, I guess, but that would get rid of it's immunity to ground. Anyways, my changes would be:

    Golduck: Psychic/Water
    Geodude: Rock
    Gengar: Ghost
    Rhyhorn: Rock
    Rhydon: Rock
    Kangaskhan: Normal/Fighting
    Girafarig: Psychic/Dark
    Granbull: Normal/Fighting
    Azurill: Water
    Mawile: Steel/Dark
    Cacnea: Grass/Poison
    Glalie: Ice/Dark
    Luvdisc: Normal/Water
    Budew: Grass
    Shieldon: Steel/Ground
    Bastiodon: Steel/Ground
    Mantyke: Water
    Lickilicky: Normal/OVER 9000!!!
    Porygon Z: Normal/Dark

I'm suprised that nobody has discussed Groudon.
Is it just me, or shouldn't Groudon be a duo type with fire?

Considering all of the fire-type moves it learns along with the fact that it creates land by making magma suggests to me that it should be fire-type. Never really understood the logic behind keeping it exclusive to the ground-type.

    I forgot Groundon... T^T
I think Kyogre can be Water/Ice too!
