So this is my pokemon game idea. It's been floating around my comp for a while, but the other threads encouraged me to post it. This probably won't become a hack because I'm too busy/lazy to make it/get help. I thought it was a nice story full of nice stuff. I decided to take it on a different path than most pokemon hacks. It's much darker and mysterious. I took some ideas from some of my favorite games and TV series. Please keep in mind that I'm a lazy piece of dooky hooky.

    Fan made Pokémon game:
    - Whisper of Silences: Pocket Monsters

    Story:
    - 6 years after Emerald.
    - Hoenn appears deserted (much like "fog form" of Silent Hill"). The sky is naturally dark and fog roams around most of Hoenn in an unusual spiral (outward) pattern. It's epicenter is Sootolopis.
    - Something happened 6 years ago (when e4 was beaten in Emerald) that made Hoenn what it is today, and the small islands around Hoenn are starting to become like Hoenn.
    - Steven, Norman, and Juan all play significant roles as does Norman's daughter (e4 champion).
    - Most leveling up in the beginning is done by wild Pokémon battles. Bosses in the beginning are also wild Pokémon that have taken over parts of Hoenn in the human's absence.
    - All supplies are to be found and the protagonist will find healing springs which he can use as many times as he wants. (still have to think about this, maybe there could be various Pokemon ghosts selling you stuff)
    - Juan meets you in the beginning and watches you while giving you help throughout the game.
    - Norman has spent the past 6 years searching (you don't know this, he says he's just looking for someone) for his daughter (actually hunting her) and is on his deathbed.
    - Steven is an antagonist and clashes with you many times. He's been training his new Pokémon since his old ones were kidnapped in their pokeballs a little while ago.
    - Norman's daughter is the main bad guy in the game. She tapped into another "element" of power aside from Pokemon after she became the E4 champion 6 years ago. Think of it as magic (or maybe the power of reality/distortion/dimension). Every E4 champion is let known about this power when they become champion, but all are warned gravely of its uses and power and all stay away (except for her). Top secret stuff.
    - Since no one for thousands of years used it, no one knew that it had a corruptible and addictive effect on whoever used it.
    - May (now called Maya) became corrupted and this is the result. May uses the power to control Hoenn and make it her own. She also uses it to stay forever young. Until the end of Whisper of Silences, she uses her power to stay a 7 year old girl named Maya. She has been Maya for long enough that she has adopted Maya's mentality (that of a 7 year old). At first glance she is a sweet little girl who wants to play, but if you do not do as she tells you, you are brutally punished.
    - Player must travel around Hoenn and beat 8 different sects of typed Pokémon. "Tribes".

    Plot:
    - PT (protagonist) and friend live on a small island west of Hoenn. They receive a distress signal from somewhere in Hoenn. Knowing that the island is supposedly deserted and knowing that the same thing might happen to their home, they go to investigate via boat.
    - On their way they meet a shady figure (Juan, but they won't find out until much later) who tells them not to turn back, but that if they were to continue, they would need to carry a Pokémon.
    - When they return back to their cabin, they find two pokeballs on their beds. These pokeballs contain: Squirtle and Totodile (could be changed?). If I include different typed Pokemon as starters, I'd make the "tribes" of Pokemon you fight throughout Hoenn much different depending on your starter, and Steven's Pokemon would probably change types too. I'd like the differences to be much more than just a slight roster change for Steven alone.
    - After arriving at Hoenn and finding it to be desolate, they get captured by a band of Sceptile/Grovile. The Sceptile/Grovile get their baby Treeko (lvl 7) to fight your starter for play. You beat it and the head Sceptile lets you go.
    - You're buddy takes off, leaving you to wander through Hoenn alone. At this time you come across 6 pokeballs, 12 potions, 1 ice heal, 1 burn heal, 4 antidotes, 4 paralyze heals, 2 awakenings in an abandoned Pokemart.

    Other:
    - If the game were to be made, it would be hard-- really hard because it's harder to level up your Pokemon by fighting wild Pokemon all the time. It's designed for you to take advantage or your emulator's save states. You'd be fighting wild Pokémon of a much higher level than you.
    - Some info on this "alternate power source": think of Pokémon as a property of the natural world. In a way, they are a force in and of itself. One type of power. There is another force that is maybe not that opposite, but different. In my Pokémon game, Giratina is the product of both forces combining. Giratina is both a Pokémon and not a Pokémon, in that sense. How did the forces come together? Maybe that's for another Pokémon game (haven't thought of the story to that yet). There is another Pokémon that came about as a result of a combination of both forces as well, although this one isn't nearly as significant: Sableye. Sableye will be a common wild Pokémon in the game and if I can, I'd like to make him come in many random colors.
    - Steven is only with May because she is supposedly controlling him with her power. Perhaps the power of persuasion? Or something else?
    - I've been thinking about adding some sort of time travel. You would be able to travel to before things got real bad. You can battle trainers, explore Hoenn like it was, and learn about the recently new champion, May. I'm thinking this would happen right before you battle May (and someone secret) for the final time. You would need to find your way back to the present. As you attempt to find your way back to the dark future, you would watch as Hoenn became what it is 6 years later. Perhaps you would battle the new ruler May and her minion, Steven (who still has his Steel types) and win allowing you to dip into the other force temporarily to find your way back to the future, where you will fight May yet again... only this time she and Steven will have completely different Pokemon. Steven will be first with his new pokemon, and then May will battle you... but wait, before you fight May, you'll have to fight somebody unexpected!? Who could it be?

So the battles would go like this:

    (past) Steven
    (past) May
    (present) Steven
    (present) ??????
    (present) May

That's my idea for the E4.

I'm thinking I should increase the Dragon type and make it more common than previously conceived. You have pokemon like Altaria who isn't all that powerful or rare yet is still a dragon.

A new item called the Mythic Stone. You get it late in the game but it isn't a normal item. It's a key item and has infinite uses. Certain pokemon can branch off their normal evos into a much more dragonlike evo (part dragon) which may or may not be as powerful as the normal evo. In my idea, dragons aren't magical creatures of ultimate power. They, like lions and fish are an actual species of animals that come in many different shapes, types, and sizes. Some pokemon without evos will also evolve, and maybe it will change some pokemon forms as well. Either way it constantly emits an eerie radiation that has a very interesting effect on pokemon. It affects more than just a handful of pokemon, and even some starters are affected by it.

    Some examples:

    - A new ice pokemon that might normally evolve into an Ice/Ground type. Use the stone on it, and it will evolve into a Ice/Dragon type with slightly lower stats than the Ice/Ground.
    - Say a Bug pokemon evolves into a Bug/Ghost pokemon. Once it evolves, use the stone on it and it changes forms to a Bug/Dragon pokemon with similar stats and the same ability.
    - Take an older pokemon like Tropius and use the stone on it. Tropius evolves into a Grass/Dragon with improved stats and movepool, like any other evo.
