I watched a few of the DP episodes when they came out, after being quite impressed by Advanced Battle and such, as Ash really matured and the show looked to be moving somewhere for the older fans. But when the DP series began, I watched a few.. and turned it off in 10 minutes. They have that character, the one with the Chimchar and Elekid, can't remember his name. I gather they wanted someone like Gary, but that wasn't Gary. That was animal cruelty, this is not an RSPCA thing here. This is just that they tried something and it turned out horrid (The writers).
The girl, a new character once again, a 3rd traveller, not bothered. But she's so annoying, her mum was a Contest legend or summit. She should know something about Pokémon? She was very enthusiastic. But Brock kept on saying things in battle like "Fire type moves are strong against grass types". No **** sherlock. I'm sitting here, thinking how much i'm *****ing about the show and trying to think of some good interesting things. But I can't, it's a show that is for 5 year olds. I think they tried to make it very similar to the games, but that failed. I think there's a new series now, the characters must of got better. Hopefully Galactic can replace the boring old Rocket for the past 10 years.
What does dissapoint me, is the Pokémon poetry stuff from Oak. Wtf is that? And the girl getting all giddy about it. Why is Ash so terrible? I understand he is in a new region, but Pikachu should surely be very strong and not lose to that Elekid, why else did Giovanni want it? Speaking about Giovanni, all these scenes with Meowth talking about how he'd need that Pokemon and Team Rocket somehow always tricking Ash and the crew with lame disguises, gets boring. I liked Ash in Kanto, Orange Islands and Johto. He was alright in Hoenn. But in Hoenn, the series really started to decline. The writers have lost that touch, relying on old material and afraid to cut out a few characters.
One thing I really wish the most, is to bring back Pidgeot for an episode atleast. They mentioned him before, Ash said he had one in a Gym battle I believe. They showed clicks in opening credits of Pidgeots, gets our hopes up. Then we get let down. The last Pokémon Ash had that really has character is Torcoal, didn't see much of him sadly though. Ash always has the same types, that's fair enough. But he needs differant types, like the Primape he had. We all want his strongest and our favourite Pokémon in his team, but the writers have to introduce the new one's. It's just they can't think of any others ways of doing so, look at how they always help people to get a few more episodes done.
I'm loving this ***** about it right now. But I wont go on, i'm sure there's others on here who dislike the new series. I hoped i'd type more, I have more to say. But i'm thinking about going on the xbox. So does anyone else watch the DP episodes? Have they improved, I mean majourly. As they are awful.
