Why do people ask for the impossible?!

    Ok I've been seeing this a lot lately, and frankly I'm glad that I don't have access direct access to WiFi right now. Why? Because of people not thinking right, when it comes to online trading. I know that this thread doesn't belong here, but I'm not asking for a trade, I'm just pointing out something that's all. Like last time, when I went on WiFi to look up a certain Pokemon, I put in the search results, and bam! Several Trainers popped up. I looked at their Pokemon, and to my disbelief they were asking for the impossible. A common pokemon for a legendary Pokemon?! What?! Also some Pokemon you can't obtain legally because of level based. I mean I saw several dozen people doing the same thing as everyone else, now I know that I myself would never cheat no one out of trading, and I hope that person doesn't cheat me out either. I'm not trying to make any threats, I'm just pointing out the obvious and the truth.

    Seeing as this is a major Pokemon website, maybe I could get other people's input on this problem.
     
    There are multiple reasons.
    1. They are trying to preform GTS Cloning Trick.
    2. They are trying to preform GTS Evolution Trick.
    3. They want to cheat people, who are ignorant of value out of their pokemon.
    4. They do it just too clog up the system.

    If you are every looking for trades GTS is not the place too go. I would suggest exchanging friend codes with others and engage in trades that are actually fair for both sides. In Black and White there is a new GTS feature that allows you too bargain with another random person.
     
    That's the GTS for you. It's pretty much always been like that, ever since the first game it featured in. :'P But yeah I agree, it does suck but what can you do about it eh? Can't really tell them that they can't ask for legendaries.

    Well I know but don't you need to know the person in real life before trading? I mean the whole point of FCs are for trading battling, and of course voice/video chatting with another person provided that they have a dsi on hand. I myself am getting a wireless router *Hopefully* soon. So I will be able to trade FCs at home, instead of down town. Plus I know I shouldn't bash those that use the GTS trading system, but its hard to find a legit trade with another player.
     
    Technically, this is the right section, since GTS spans gen IV and V, which are split forumwise. So here is fine. But yeah, I was trying to use the GTS in Black yesterday to get Tepig, and um yeah. Just no. lol Never used it in gen IV though (I don't have wifi, only in McDonalds), but I've heard plenty of horror stories. Plus it sucks when you need something you haven't even seen yet, since you need to see it to ask for it.
     
    I was checking up GTS today since I want a Gigalith, so I look for a Boldore then bam everyone wanted Reshiram/Zekrom.
    GTS negotiation on the other hand is fun, I manage to get Axew, Gigalith and Emolga :]
     
    The best thing to do is forget the GTS. =.= Other than the times I've done the cloning trick, I've had nothing but bad experiences. I've gotten 3 shinies, 2 of which were obvious hacks and the third had 3 31 IVs. Granted, it was from Hoenn, so it could have been an Emerald RNG'd Pokemon. Other than that, I'm just sick of looking at stuff. :/ My Lv. 1 Vulpix for your Lv. 100 Dialga??? Etc. Online forums are so much better. Arrange, exchange, trade, enjoy. :)
     
    Yes I totally agree, at least trading in the forums isn't so outlandish :D. Hopefully soon when the Pokemon Global Link starts up here in America around March 30, I will be on it all the time trading, doing stuff here and there.
     
    ughhh when i use to have wifi i hated the GTS, they had a Lv.15 bonsly for a Lv.100 Palkia
    i mean, c'mon now? :/
    But yeah i dont have wifi anymore, i would got into the FC trading if i did
     
    I wish these people would stop putting up stupid trades. Its just annoying.
