4th Gen Why do people want "legit" pokemon?

When I cheat or hack, I usally do it out of fun, such as having an uber weedle own with 999 in all stats, woot!

I would just get any pokemon that doesn't have impossible stats or impossible attributes, but I hate cheaters. I think cheating to get a pokemon in two seconds is rather rash, especially considering when the consequences are dire; Legendary/Shiny pokemon which are supposed to have some value in them will be absolutely worthless if hackers keep making cloning them. I will only accept moderate hacking; Hackers should have some ethical limits they must recognize and adhere to, no matter how unethical they are.
 
I don't have D/P yet but if someone could tell me what to look out for if the Pokemon is hacked, I'd appreciate it. Especially for the legendaries like Mew, Celebi, Jirachi. I think Mew is found at Lvl 30 now or something and to tell Jirachi's OT was something specific. Could anyone tell me how to know?
 
Meh, I only support hacking for the pokemon that you can only get by going to a Nintendo event. I mean, not everyone lives near an event stop or has the time to go to one, (or they wouldnt be caught dead there), so its is useful in that regard.

What should those stats be for the legendary? I've never been to any Nintendo Event unfortunately, since they don't come to Canada and I'd like to get an authentic legendary if possible ><
 
If the GTS does check where the PKMN came from, it's not wise to say, make it so you catch a Darkrai at lv. 2 on Rt. 201. The only way I would hack my game is to get the items required, that way, they're the most legal. I suppose I'll hafta wait for Mew, Celebi, Jirachi & Deoxys to come around to NYC again...
 
The only things I would hack is

1.Legendaries that you have to go to an event to obtain it. If I do that I would probally take 10 levels off the Pokemon so that I can actually work hard on somethign with them.

2.Pokemon I can't get because I sold my old pokemon games (R/S/E/FR/LG). Like I might hack in the three regis so that I'm able to awaken the Regigas.
