3rd Gen Why do silcoon and cascoon only give me 1 ev in defence

    Why do silcoon and cascoon only give me 1 ev in defence when they are supposed to give me two?

    I am EV training a lvl 16 Skarmory. Ok im killing Silacoon and Cascoon in the petalburg woods they are about lvl 5. After killing 21 of them I only gained +5 in defence when i leveled to 17. Why?
     
    Could have asked this in a simple Q&A thread.
