why do you play pokemon?

I play because I like the adventuring, catching the pokemon

in the beginning then getting them stronger and battling

along the way, then to finally be the very best, like no one ever was.
 
I always thought pokemon was a childs game until 3 years ago. When I found out about the different types , movesets , base stats , ev's , iv's , breeding ect , I realized that competitive battling can be as fun and challenging as a game of chess. So I play for the strategy involved in building a great team.
