Been reliving the glory days of pokemon with an emulator on my iPhone. This chain of events caused me to dig up my DS out of a shoebox in my closet. After a thorough de-dusting and cleaning, I was jumping for joy, hoping my copy of Diamond was still in reach. Unfortunately, I couldn't find it, and this is why I am posting this now.

Are all the features of Pokemon HG/SS compatible with the old school, brick DS? Such as Pokewalker functionality, and WiFi capability? I am an avid runner, and am willing to clip that little device onto my shorts and run for miles if it means as much for Pokemon. ^^

IIRC the Pokéwalker communication is built within the game card itself, and isn't limited to the system. The Nintendo DS also has Wi-Fi compatibility as I've done it myself with SS many times.

The Nintendo DS-Brick varies very little from the DS Lite/DSi in terms of computers and mechanics. The DS Lite is basically the original DS shrunk down with a brighter screen. You can still play all the same games and do the same stuff on it, though.

Cookie for you. You've actually formed a competent, structured response.
