I think that nearly all of use can admit that pokemon isn't as popular as it once was back in the late 90's. We all still love this anime, game, TCG and all of that good stuff, but it's just been fading away. Do you guys think that pokemon can make a good comeback? And if so, how?

Hmmm, i think some people are tired of the same old pokemon 'scene' maybe if Nintendo released some awesome games games, do alot of advertising, sell some other poke merchendise then maybe, just maybe pokemon could make a come back, it all depends on Nitendo ^^]

I don't think it will. I did somewhat like the Anime before, but ever since the "Advanced" generation started, I've stopped watching it. I never got into the cards. The games have been selling great, not quite as good as when it first started, but still doing great. Emerald was the second best selling game this year. But I don't think the cards or the Anime will make a comeback.

I hope it doesn't makea comeback. Pokemon at its height was total ****. It was ruined by a boatload of ten year old fanboys who couldn't even understand it.

I hope it doesn't make a comeback either.

I also think pokemon grasped it's fanbase already, so I think there isn't a neccesity to do so as well.

    I agree 100%.

Being Pokemon fan's on a Pokemon website you would think that everyone would want a awesome comeback.

But appearently not, And as for the Ten Year old boatload of kids, I belive that Nintendo created Pokemon for everyone, you don't exactly need to understand pokemon to like it.

Ya there is no need for a comeback per say but I will say the series could use a revitalization like the Resident Evil series got with Resident Evil 4.

And how could they revitalize the series, its simple as all they have to do is make an awesome 3D game capturing the Pok?mon gaming experience on the handhelds and have it on the Nintendo Revolution as it obviously never go on another console.

After that if it was done right the series would be revitalized for use fans and bring in a decent amount of new fans guaranteeing Pok?mon will be around far into the future but I think if the series doesn't get some sort of revitalization the series will eventually die out which be a shame for such a giant to die out. It be like the Zelda or Final Fantasy series dying out and since Nintendo has been dropping the ball lately they can't afford to lose one of there money makers.

i really hope it does make a comeback. why wouldn't any pokemon fan want it to make a comeback?

although i don't know of any show making a comeback, i hope it does

it would be funny to see people carrying pokemon cards around with them again lol

Yeah I agree! They've made the exact same pokemon games for the last 10 years! They need something new!

Some of you are talking about how you want "new" Pokemon games. If "new" means 3D, I'm not to sure I want anything to change. All the 3D Pokemon games haven't been as good as the 2D ones. I would like something new, but it better be good...

That is because the 3D ones so far made have not gone by the winning formula the series has developed which makes the handheld games sell so well. I really don't understand Nintendo's problem as they have a winning formula and all they have to do is make it 3D yet when they finally make some 3D games they don't use the winning formula.

I'm hoping it doesn't make a comeback. Yeah, it'd be cool to be able to like it without getting looked at weird or made fun of, but back when it was popular there were so many people who only liked it because it was "the cool thing". When it went out, all of those people left it for other things, but the true fans remained loyal to it. Now that it's not a popular thing, it's easy to tell that 99% of the people who enjoy it really do enjoy it and aren't just following some fad.

If it ever did make a comeback, it would almost definately be with a newer generation of youth. Even if they did something to change it, the people who followed it when it was big would more than likely scoff at it now because it's still "them pokeman things". I personally think some change would be good, but not enough to mess it up entirely.

I doubt that Pokemon will make a comeback. I wish they would though. It might help if they start making the PVC toys again that don't have action to them. Like the older ones. And when they do, don't just send it to Pokemon Center in NY! Not every pokemon fan lives there!
