Woah, WHO made a stall team? (OU Stall)

I'm getting bored of the current metagame. A lot. Therefore, I decided to switch it up...a lot XD. All I've ever done in OU was extreme offense, and the same in UU. The only time I actually varied it up was with that Trick Room team (Which was awesome I might add :P). But yeah, I wanted to try out a stall team. I looked here at previous teams, and Smogon's forums as well. So far, I've gone 7-0 with the team, but most of the time I pull through with a tad of hax or just lucky minimum damage. Clearly, there WILL be improvment to be made here, as with all my teams (When I make a perfect one, D_A will be normal [OH PWNED!!!]). Therefore, allow me to introduce the team...

    Hippowdon@Leftovers
    Sand Stream
    Impish Nature
    252 HP/168 Def/88 SpD

    • Stealth Rock
    • Earthquake
    • Slack Off
    • Ice Fang/Roar
Hippowdon is easily one of the best stall starters, end of story. Not only does it get up the rocks quickly, the Sand Storm provided allows for more residual damage to be caused. It tanks so much on the physical spectrum, it isn't even funny. It is a standard set for a standard lead, but it has a special niche in my team, and I'll be reluctant to replace it (I will do it with proper logic of course XD).

    Tentacruel@Black Sludge
    Liquid Ooze
    Calm Nature
    252 HP/120 Def/136 SpD

    • Toxic Spikes
    • Rapid Spin/?
    • Surf
    • Ice Beam/Sludge Bomb/HP Electric
Tentacruel has always had a special place in my heart (Sorry Vance...). Its stalling capabilities are top notch as well. Maximizing its HP and splitting the rest into its defensive stats allow for multiple hits to be taken as well. Toxic Spikes is always necessary, and I've been able to get both layers down usually. I actually haven't even used Rapid Spin once, so its slot is very debatable for me. Surf for the STAB so it can actually attack. That last slot is also a toss up for me. Each attack is situational, so I'm not sure what would be the best choice.

    Roserade@Black Sludge
    Natural Cure
    Timid Nature
    252 Spe/112 SpA/144 SpD

    • Substitute
    • Leech Seed
    • Sludge Bomb
    • Spikes
Okay, having both Tentacruel and Roserade on the same team might seem a little odd, but they both serve sperate roles. They cover each other's weaknesses, and both can set up the different types of spikes. Roserade also uses her base 90 speed and a Timid nature with full Speed EVs to get up at least 1 layer of spikes, as well as SubSeed with her impressive SpD stat. She has done well so far, but of course, I'll take reccomendations.

    Rotom-H@Leftovers
    Levitate
    Bold Nature
    252 HP/120 Def/136

    • Rest
    • Sleep Talk
    • Will-O-Wisp
    • Discharge
Okay, first off, I know RestTalk might seem odd with two of my Pokemon having Natural Cure. Rotom's job isn't meant to be a status absorber though, he is the number one annoying in my book. The burning status might sound counter-productive, but there are so many Steels/Levitators (AKA Scizor) that avoid TSpikes that WoW cripples them to smithereens. Discharge's paralysis rate is also very handy, in case the slow down would benefit me more. RestTalk allows maximum survivability, which in turn creates the maximum annoyance factor.

    Celebi@Leftovers
    Natural Cure
    Bold Nature
    252 HP/220 Def/36 Spe

    • Grass Knot
    • U-Turn
    • Perish Song
    • Recover
Celebi really has been one of my more crucial team members. With its bulkiness, it can come in easily, and either attack with Grass Knot, U-Turn out to scout the counter, or Perish Song to ruin a stat-upper's sweep. Not only does it do that, it is the obligatory last Pokemon taker-outer (God, I'm using really illiterate words in this RMT XD). Celebi is another giant annoyer of the team, and it serves its purpose quite well.

    Jirachi@Light Clay
    Serence Grace
    Careful Nature
    252 HP/100 Def/156 SpD

    • Reflect
    • Light Screen
    • Wish
    • U-Turn
Dual Screen Jirachi does a fantastic job of ruining the PP of various Pokemon's moves, and the pitiful damage done allows Jirachi to Wish Pass easily. Usually I'll use Light Screen on turn one (Most of its checks and counters are special based anyways), and follow it up with a Reflect. Wish, U-Turn, and repeat. Although it hasn't been as successful as I hoped for, it has been crucial. This is a highly debatable spot for me. I really want the Wish Passing, and Dual Screens is nice, although not required.

Dude, no. This has way too many weaknesses and is just an inferior version of ObiStall (which isn't all that great itself to be honest). Random weaks like NP Azelf and LO Zapdos are not cool.

I could turn this into Obistall real quick though. Skarmory > Roserade (as Skarmory is a much better Spiker), and Blissey over the pretty meh Jirachi (ugh, Dual Screeners are more support Pokemon for bulky offense). That being said, I'm sure you don't want your stall team to be ObiStall all over again, but you have a lot of dead weight here, and on stall, that's not good. As far as making it different, Tentacruel is pretty bad, but Forretress can be a sort of 2-in-1 Spiker/Toxic Spiker if you really need it to be, and Vaporeon can take Skarmory's slot passing Wish or something. idk man, I haven't run stall in awhile/battled at all in while, so it's really up to you on where to go. Just replace at least one of the two Poison-types, and consider reworking/replacing Jirachi.

Also, for Hippowdon's EVs, I'd just run max Def. The SDef EVs are for Ice Beam TyraniBoah, which is BEYOND obsolete (especially in the age of Scizor). You might as well pack it into Def where Hippowdon needs it anyway.

I'm sure somebody can give you a better rate later, but hope this helped =p

Thanks for the advice Anti. That's the type of criticism I was looking for anyways XD But yeah, Jirachi has definitely been dead weight for me, so that I will definitely replace. I'll ditch Roserade too, as Tenta has been a lot more vital for me than it. Maybe Forry>Roserade, so it can set down the layers of Spikes, maybe being a back-up spiker if I must (No spin though XD).

Anyways, I just looked up ObiStall specifically, and realized that I have half of the same team lol. If it isn't that great, then something obviously has to give. Rotom has been vital, as has Hippowdon (Whose EVs I'll change XD).

Maybe all together I should put Forry>Roserade for Spikes and TSpikes, as well as Rapid Spin, but that gives it too many jobs to do, and it will never be able to complete them all. Of course, it could do it easier with Vappy>Tenta for Wish passing, and counters the exact same things anyways. Now with Jirachi obsolete, I have no clue what to replace it with XD
