I know ledgendaries are banned for a reason, and so is Spiritomb, but what's wrond with wobbuffet? Its so... weak.

It's potentially a strong counter, but mostly it's a) cheap and b) in previous generations, Wobbuffet v Wobbuffet forced exhaustion of moves to Struggle point. The latter made games effectively redundant for 50+ turns.

Massive HP + decent defenses + Encore + countermoves + Shadow Tag + Destiny Bond doesn't seem cheap to you?

I've never used one in diamond. And counter has recoil damage

Counter depends on the physical damage you receive whereas Mirror Coat requires getting hit by a special attack. You don't receive any additional damage by using the move.

And Wobbuffet can use encore, making you use the same move, so the trainer knows whether to use Counter or Mirror Coat, and because of its ability, you cannot switch out.

And it can Encore you, switch to something immune/resistant, and start setting up.

And what, Spiritomb isn't banned.

That makes more sense. and I was thinking of submission, not counter.
