I currently have a GBC with blue, gold, crystal is it worth me buying a GC just for Colosseum or should i get a GBA and buy ruby or sapphire and get FR or LG when they come out?

    What would you do?

    Thanks in advance :)

If you're willing to wait, you may want to look into getting a Nintendo DS upon it's winter release this year (estimated by Nintendo). The Nintendo DS is backwards compatible with GBA games. This would be an efficient option.

Coliseum isn't all that great unless you have a GBA game, as well. The RPG mode wasn't very long compared to the GBA games. Or you could get a GCN with a GameBoy Player.

I would wait for the DS to be released.

You know, RH...I'm going to buy a Game Cube just for Colleseum...but I already have Ruby version. What you should do is get a GBA and buy ruby/sapphire. For extra games, get Golden Sun! It's awesome! Oh, and then get your happy old GC and Coleseum and a Gameboy Player. That's the advice I have to give now.

The DS looks like it's gonna cost a small fortune, after reading everything about it it's definetly gonna hurt the wallet.

    EDIT: just found this

The first estimates for a price for the unit, based on the announced specifications, suggest it will not sell for more than USD 150. This price tag places Nintendo's DS in the low end of the price scale and clearly indicates that it will not be competing with Sony's >200 USD PSP. Nintendo had already stated that their mystery device was not meant to challenge their Japanese rivals PSP but to fill a gap in the market.

    Well that's nice to know.
