Yeah, I'm thinking if it's worth training pokémon and store them, and then take them out when needed, or if it's better to have a whole party that you constantly train and never do anything with it. Like now I plan having:
    Charizard
    Blastoise
    Venusaur
    Alakazam
    Zapdos (Pikachu/Raichu)
    Butterfree/other bug pokémon

    Exchanging with other pokémon, like:
    Moltres
Can't remember name on last legendary
    Pidgeot
    Raticate
    Primeape
    *goes on*

Or should I just train the party I find out that fits best as high as possible?

It really depends on you but my opinion is this.I would rather have 6 pokemon at Lv 100 then ten at Lv 50.also look at your team's weakness and strenghts make sure what one lacks in the other pick up in.
