2nd Gen would this work?

i've been trying to find a way to be able to walk around with no usuable pokemon, and i think i might have found a way. i just need confirmation it works; i don't wanna mess up my game: okay, so you have a friend that has a fainted pokemon in his party. you only have one pokemon in your party. so you trade your one pokemon with your friend's fainted one. when you come out you will have one fainted pokemon! if any of youhave tried this, can you tell me if it works? thanks in advance!

Well, ive not tried it but then again i doubt it would work i would think that it would revive it for you or it would say you cannot take fainted pokemon in with you, HOWEVER, I have used the monsterbrain for GBA on my crystal version and took out all of the pokemon in my party to where i had NO ACTIVE POKEMON and when some one approached me for a battle the screen would go white blah blah blah and it would say I won same for wild pokemon screen goes white for a few seconds then you are back to where you were..I would highly reccommend getting one and it has NEVER messed up any of my games it also lets you save games just in case..

there is a way but it only lasts 4 steps

go to a pc with a fainted pokemon in your party
open bills pc
deposit all active pokemon so you only have a fainted one left
exit the pc
walk off
4 steps later a message appear saying you have no active pokemon you whited out
