STORY- In a hidden galaxy, far from all other inhabited planets, was one big planet called Uthal. On Uthal, the people had a source of energy they called Zikal. Zikal was a chunky green liquid that flowed from fissures on the surface. This liquid was full of electrolytes that powered their bodies and technology. The speices' bodies, here on Uthal, ran solely on electrolytes. The Ulthalians resembled humans, but were not exactly like them, in that they do not need air to survive.

This planet has co-existed peacefully for 40 billion years with their awesome technology and gadgets. Until that one day...

They discovered a man who had taken a hard fall while traveling in space. They took him in to care for him, and got him all healed up. When he recovered though, they allowed him to live among them. It seems, however, that he now rules the people. It spread throughout the planet in a matter of months. Whatever he says, the citizens do.

It is said that his eyes hypnotize you. He is simply known as "Oric." Oric the tyrant. Since he gained control over the people of Uthal, he has begun to force them to do horrible things. Kill their own, fly on spaceships into black holes, blow themselves to bits...

He may have the upper hand, and it has been this way for three years now, but not for long. The planet is now drained almost completely of it's Zikal substance. The people are desperate for it. They can hardly survive. Speaking of survival, Oric 'replaced' his head followers with aliens he called from another galaxy. The Falk Beasts. He uses them to destroy land and make the people build things, just for the sole purpose of watching them all die from too much energy use without more Zikal to recharge them.

Zikal no longer flows into rivers, and the people do not use it in their meals to mask the horrible taste anymore. They can't. Oric forbids this on purpose. He is a terrible villian who must be stopped. Why is he doing all this? Who knows? Some say just for his amusent, some say there's a bigger plot behind it all, some say both. No one knows anything for sure except that Oric is purely evil.

This may seem too dangerous a planet, and it may seem too hopeless for salvation, but that may be wrong. There is a small group of people hidden among the mountains, some clustered together, some traveling alone, that defy Oric's word. A special ability has been given to them that allows them to cancel out the hypnotic rays Oric spreads throughout the planet. These people are known as the rebellion force "XERIX." They are all different except for one thing: they wander. Soon, these people will be driven out of hiding, and have to fight back! Oric's scouts are close by, and they may spot the team of rebels before they can change their locations.

Besides gadgets and armor, the Xerix team members have all enhanced themselves with some kind of unusual power/ability. Now though, they may have to do something about Oric's rule earlier than expected.
