FISH - Recently I've been looking into this type, and I've gotten interested, trying to build a deck. I have aquired 3 Superancients, and a few others. But what I want everyone's input on is whether or not they will create more fish cards in the future, or is it just a waste of money and time?

Fish are good WITHOUT new cards getting printed... Moray of Greed is amazing in its versatility, Superancient is ridiculously awesome allowing Fish to get Fish FTKs, Oyster Meister allows for Formula Synchron into stuff, Fishborg Blaster is a silly card, and of course Fish Depth Charge, Golden Flying Fish, and then we get to the huge repertoire of WATER support in general like Aoi and Gungnir... you might even play Deep Sea Diva! The archetype itself is just really solid.

I have personally not played very much Fish after they banned Dark Strike Fighter (the best version of Fish FTK!), but they seem quite strong so you can definitely go for it. After all you can simply spam out a triad of Trishula/Scrap Archfiend/Superancient after getting past your opponent's defenses with a Cold Wave or whatever and go for game.

My friend has a Fish OTK type deck, and its really good. Not too expensive either. But, I would recomend them, not his actual deck tho :p Machina is still capable to smash them.
One word of warning, without 7 tools or Judgment, BTH can screw you over.

Cold Wave/Giant Trunade are pretty good countermeasures. As is Sasuke Samurai if you are desperate.

Fish are tier 2 or tier 1.5. They are definitely capable of topping, just not popular, unfortunately..

Fish...it can spam a bunch of synchs, and summon BELIEVE IN NEXUS Dragon turn one...yup, they're good.

I have no idea, maybe, depends if they are popular or not.

    Popularity is no object.

Yes, which brings me to the point of this post - I've come to find, after a few tests on YVD with default builds, that Fish definitely has potential. Firestar and I will continue to work on our build, and post the final product soon.

Ah, yes. Turn one Shooting Star is easy with Fish. I forgot to mention that.

    (Herp derp)

Fish have potential. A friend has tested them. They're tier 2 or 1.5 solidly.

Ah, thanks for the info. Anyways, my Fish deck has gone 4-1 so far, so It's looking good. I think when Firestar and I finalize it, the deck will be much stronger.

    they are a fantastic deck, i'll just give you a couple of things from mine and firestars friend;
fish depth charge x2 or 3
pot of avarice x2 or 3
unshaven angler, royal swamp eel, metabo shark, golden flying fish, fishborg blaster.
i have to say that on most occassions that our friend uses them in tournies he gets a strong start and then gets obliterated. he hates it when i bottomless him. heee heee heee. i remember the time when him and firestar were against each other and fire was dominating with his machinas and our friend used system down on him, fire practically s*** himself.

Pot of Avarice isn't as important as Moray of Greed (almost as important though, so run 2 at least, but perhaps not 3), which is simply a ridiculous card in this kind of deck when you want to draw into combo pieces and just be all like GIANT TRUNADE / COLD WAVE INTO COELACANTH INTO YOUR FACE.

I am a little unsure about Fish Depth Charge, but run 2 at most.

As much as I appreciate your help, I've already gotten most of that down, although PoA isn't that great. Thanks so much for your help!

You're right, and MoG is amazing. YUSS.

FDC is lovely; I simply think of it as a pure joy when I pull it on my foe.

in my opinion pot of avarice is essential in this deck because once your tuners have been used thats it for you if they clear your field so poa recycles them and your synchros to some extent.

Well, it is a pretty good card and it helps the consistency in any deck, it's not like I'm not going to be adding it into my build.

Nightstalker... that's not really a good enough reason. The game ends really quickly in Yu-Gi-Oh... it is not as if this were MtG and games drag for 10 turns or something. Either you die or your opponent dies within like 7-8 turns (on both sides) at most.

Also, I disagree. FISHBORG BLASTER. FISHBORG BLASTER. FISHBORG BLAAAAASTER!

I'm not saying PoA is bad... just saying that the reason Nightstalker had for running PoA is bad. Pot is still a decidedly awesome +1 that recycles a bunch of your stuff like your Synchros, but this is why you run Pot... Not because you're scared of running out of Tuners or whatever.
