March 1st isn't far off so that means another limited/forbidden and I want to know what you think should go, what should return?

With the boost of six sams in my opinion heavy storm will return and mirror force will be put at two as it's easily blocked nowadays

    Thoughts?

    Discuss.

Copapasting some thoughts I expressed earlier while talking to some friends...

Brionac needs more of a ban than Goyo does. Book of Moon getting Limited so suddenly is just random, but this is possibly due to its interaction with Exceed Monsters (possibly removing all Overlay Units?). Honest and Kristya are acceptable (I mean seriously... Agents) but sad, Warning to 2 is completely acceptable (3 Warning has become staple... : x), Kalut to 1 and Icarus to 2 is completely fine (Konami seems to dislike 'Wings), though bringing back Skill Drain might help them some, and I'm not too surprised at Overload Fusion (Cyber Dragon decks : O). Trooper to 2 is a little surprising, but I don't even know why it was at one. Three, however, is too much (Troop, Dupe, Scoop). Snipe Hunter and Chaos Sorcerer will definitely see play in Fabled builds (I'd like to test something with Chaos Hunter in it actually). Debris Dragon makes me raise a small eyebrow but this is likely also due to Exceed Summoning being really easy with it. Hitting Royal Tribute makes Gravekeeper decks more like suicide bomber decks (pull a few games in a tournament, but completely inconsistent win ratio-wise).

Hitting Gateway was obvious. Mass Driver was part of the Dewloren loop OTK, and it's a stupid card anyway... so banning it is fine.

Book of Moon being limited is...so random. And yeah, I agree with Cirrus. Brionac should've been banned instead of Goyo. The others, well, Cirrus said almost everything. xD

Some comments I missed; Dandy to one is ... meh, but it's not too much of a big deal. Cold Wave deserves banning, because it's really ridiculously overpowered. This format will be focused on Trap Stun and people will have to main 2 Seven Tools just to not get overrun by their opponents' Trap Stuns. Reaper to 2 helps Blackwings a bit after being hit so hard with Kalut to one and Icarus to two, but it will definitely see play elsewhere as well (first turn Cyber Dragon/Spirit Reaper go go card advantage).

I don't really see the entire point of Megamorph. It's just so... bad.

I was told Bottomless would be put to 1, but I'm kind of glad its not, really. I would have too much space. Goyo being banned is really quite weird, seing as Brionac is far more overpowered, but I don't think wither truly deserved banning. Book of Moon to 1 is quite weird, rediculous and quite upsetting, seeing as I loved the card. Honest and Kristya are fine, and I often see a bit too much of Honest. I agree, Konami are being quite harsh on Blackwings, though they could have been hurt much worse. I seriously want to try out a couple of deck with Chaos Hunter in now. I have never seen Mass Driver, actually, so I can't say anything about it x] Cold Wave was seriously overpowered and damn annoying as well at times. And I'm quite glad Heavy Storm hasn't returned, or Mirror Force put at 2, because Starlight Road would be a significant card again, and I have none XD Mirror Force at two would be pointless, really. Megamorph is just bad, really, I don't see the point of it, but never mind. Trap stun will be a nice addition to most decks now, and 2 Seven Tools will become a must, yes. Solemn Warning going down to 2 isn't a problem for most tcg decks, since its hard to get hold of, but 3 has become staple, so will change the game somewhat.

Also, is it just me, or is Konami just trying to reel in more money by making the most expensive decks the best? (lightsworns excepted, 'cause they've been hit a bit)

News Flash: Trap Stun is the new Cold Wave. Heavy Storm should have come back to 1, in my opinion, because it makes for a healthier game; people wouldn't just go "set 5, summon / set, go" every starting hand. Goyo Guardian, as I've said before, being banned is likely because of its interaction with Exceed Summons, and Book of Moon being Limited might possibly be because of that as well (sends all Overlay Units to the Graveyard in the latter case and the unclearness of whether Overlay Units will be kept in the former case).

Six Samurai will, like in the case with Lightsworns, probably be allowed to dominate the format for six months or so and then be hit. Or at least that's what I think will happen.

That makes a hell of a lot of sense. And I completely agree with you there Cirrus.

My Goyo :( #$%^ you konami. But Konami finally got something right, banned Mass Driver. QuickDraw decks got hit. Konami are just trying to kill Blackwings.
I'm going to abuse CHAOS SORCERER, gonna go and make tele-caster now.

w000t investing in trap stuns payed off :) I have a mini binder pull of trap stuns collected from discarded ones <3

DOUBLE REAPERS GAVE ME A HARD ON. NVM spellcaster, going back to macro. 2 reapers + 1 grand mole with CED for a back up = HELL.

Exceed Summon better not make more broken ass cards like Synchros did.

@firestar Mass Driver is one of the main reason for FTK decks.

Chaos Sorcerer is fine in the hyperoffensive metagame we will have this format. Brionac, as I have recently found out, has been NERFED (as has everything else that requires an Ignition Effect upon summon if you want to use Priority to activate the effect). You can no longer activate Ignition Effects with Priority: naturally this includes such things as Judgment Dragon, Dark Armed Dragon, Brionac, Mental Over Archfiend, and so on. Bottomless Trap Hole has suddenly become a much more powerful card (I like it!). Good job, Konami.

No priotrity effects?!? That's insane! BTH is really powerful now! And other cards like that! E.g. Trap Hole X] Good job Konami!

    :'(
Now BTH is going to raise it's price again ffs, getting people to trade it or sell it is a hassle already -.-. No more JD nuking every %^&* even after its BTH.
