Resource management is a thing I'm big about. Managing your resources is important! Especially in card games!
How is this relevant, you ask?

Okay, side deck choices aside, this deck's toolbox power is simply silly. Dragon Canyon fetches anything from your deck that you might want in terms of monster selection (save for the Misteils) and Foolish Burials a ton of stuff. Plus, it turns any dead draw into a 5- or 6-star Synchro Monster or massive card advantage (Legionnaire into Aklys into blowing up 2 cards on their side for the cost of a Normal Summon, and if you Icarus Attack... >=D). Pot of Avarice is one of the best things to do for this deck into the midgame if it doesn't have a Dragon Canyon up and steadily advantage-ing your way to victory, and it provides an outlet to recycle your monsters (Dux and Legionnaire rather) for later use. Threatening and Book are combat tricks that every discerning Dragunities player knows we need - Book takes care of random Synchros on their turn, leaving their material up for easy destruction, as well as being able to turn the tide of battle by flipping their guys facedown. Threatening Roar is Battle Fader-esque, except more awesome, because 1. it's chainable and 2. it's usable when your opponent has monsters.
That should be it for the explanations.
