    I've been wanting to try making a solar burn deck for a while. While testing one of my earlier decks against a friend of mine, he used Ring of Magnetism against me and that card was annoying as hell.

    So I thought... I wonder how annoying it will be if you can't even destroy the monster its equipped to? Few hours later, this.

    I ran Ring orginally, but swapped it out for Raregold armor after posting it on another site for help finishing it.

    I'd like to have a couple of exceeds but not sure if there are any pyro exceeds that I can summon with my monster lineup.

    Anyway, not sure what I should add for the last few cards.

    Safe Zone is your best bet for protecting your Solar Flare Dragon.
     
    Hmm... Forgot about that card.

    Although, while it can't be destroyed it can still be attacked. I'll technically be able to put damage out faster but still...

    Anyway, +3 Safe Zone, +2 Starlight Road, +1 Judgment of Anubis, +1 Monster Reborn (To bring Thestalos back for Spiritual Fire Art.)

    Backfire was left over from a earlier build before I switched it over to a lockdown. It's pretty much useless. I'll swap it out for Dark Room of Nightmare.
     
    I really hate it when this happens. This deck, on paper, looks like it should be successful.

    It failed. Completely. Not consistent enough.

    I'll remove the Meteors to add in some more draw power. Im leaning towards Magical Mallets, and possibly Reckless Greed but if you know of any spells/traps that discard Pyro or Fire monsters for drawing then I'll add those instead.
     
    Actually the deck on paper is pretty bad too, just saying


    You have no real way of dealing with your opponent's threats - that's the fundamental problem with a "burn lockdown" deck; you can't really do anything after they develop their board because you have no removal to speak of whatsoever.
