I have nothing to resist Lance's Garchomp. As much as I love my Flareon and Pidgeot, I figure I might as well smoosh'em together and get Ho-oh. But that leaves me with one more slot in the team for something else that can hopefully resist this crap. :| I'd prefer no more Sinnoh Pokemon as Garchomp and Rotom are enough for my tastes. But if that's what it takes, then so be it.

    Aviex / Feraligatr lv. 63 (f)
    - Ice Fang
    - Surf
    - Rock Climb
    - Crunch

I'm aware it sucks and I was gonna get rid of Crunch for Superpower, but I accidentally messed that up. And I need Rock Climb. :( You know why.

    Mage / Pidgeot lv. 62 (f)
    - Fly
    - Roost
    - U-turn
    - Return

I love this thing. :( But she just ain't cuttin it anymore. She can happily go to my Platinum later, I guess.

    Abigail / Garchomp lv. 63 (f)
    - Dragon Claw
    - Sandstorm
    - Crunch
    - Earthquake

    Heeeelp. XD

    Gardevoir / Gardevoir lv. 63 (m)
    - Psychic
    - Hypnosis
    - Thunderbolt
    - Return...?!

Was traded to me...that's why it's male, has no name, and has Return of all things. -_-

    Motor / Rotom-C lv. 63
    - Thunderbolt
    - Ominous Wind
    - Leaf Storm
    - Substitute

I've never used alternate Rotom forms before, so I'm really open to any suggestions on this one. :) I just ain't gettin' rid of him. I love Rotom.

    Tara / Flareon lv. 62 (f)
    - Fire Fang
    - Bite
    - Headbutt (was gonna replace with Giga Impact lol)
    - Attract

She's served her time well, but I think it's time to go. :( Unless anyone has better suggestions.

So yeah. If I scrap Mage and Tara and get Ho-oh, what should be the last Pokemon? And feel free to help me with those less than perfect movesets, haha.

If you have trouble with Lance's Garchomp, you most likely should use an Ice-type Pokemon :O I used a Lapras: I got it at a high enough level that it resisted a blow from Lance's most powerful dragons, and then just Ice Beamed away. Also, Lapras has decent HP/defenses, something which personally I think this team lacks a little.

I think you should also get an Electric-type, so that you can outspeed Charizard/Gyarados, and then hit them hard with an electric move without taking too much damage on your team. There are alot of choices here lol, since most electric-types are known to be pretty fast. (Raikou, Electrode, Zapdos, Jolteon, etc.) If you want, you can replace your Flareon with Jolteon, so that you have more advantage against Lance AND get to keep a cute n' cuddly eeveelution- which EVERYONE needs.

I personally think you should avoid getting Ho-Oh since your team looks pretty sleek and you've got a good run here without needing to resort to legendaries ^^

Overall, if it's Lance after obtaining the 16 badges that you have trouble with, my suggestion is getting an fast Electric type for Charizard and Gyarados, and then an Ice Pokemon that either outspeeds his Dragon/Flying-types (Froslass, I think) or can take a hit from them (Lapras). My suggestion is Ice-type > Pidgeot and Electric-type > Flareon.

    I hope this helps :)

But I have cute and cuddly Rotom. :< But I do have this big pet peeve about always having an Eeveelution in GSC/HGSS. I just don't feel right without one. As for an ice type, I could replace Pidgeot with Delibird. Seems like a step backwards, though, but it's only in-game and I really love Delibird and haven't used it in a long time. It'd take so long to level him up though. This is the worst game to train in. :|

Oddly enough, I beat Lance right before you replied. Hypnosis got lucky and Gardevoir just spammed Psychic to get rid of that pesky Garchomp, lol. But I will be looking at ice types. :) ...Glaceon just came to mind. :| And knock off Flareon for Ho-oh. :'D I'm a genius! Haha, thank you! :DD

This might sound dumb, but is this for HG or SS?

If it's for SS (well, either really) Skarmory was the first thing I thought of (going off of type dis/advantages alone). It'll resist Outrage and is immune to Earthquake...but it doesn't learn any SE (Ice) moves except for like, Icy Wind. The Magnemite family + Magnet Rise have the same type advantages but a similar "it'd be like throwing pebbles at Garchomp" issue.

Gyarados has always been my fail-safe against any NPC Garchomp, but it won't fully resist Outrage. It at least resists Earthquake and has access to Ice Attacks which the other two really don't.

Rofl xD I should have thought of Glaceon, it totally pwns.

Omg, please don't make me talk about Delibard lmao. Delibird just...ugghghghghghg.
    ANYWAY, glad i helped a tad ^^

Ah, I should have mentioned that it's SoulSilver. Skarmory is a good option, but I've literally just traded my Glaceon over and I'm about to go and catch Ho-oh. Skarmory would be a pain in the butt to grind up to level 60 at this point, plus I don't know how particularly useful it would be seeing that I don't feel like breeding it for Whirlwind and I've used my Roost TM. But I guess I could swap my Rotom to a heater (I have a pet peeve about just having to have a fire type) and it can be a pseudo-fire type. Nyeh, I just think it'd be easier with what I was about to do. :( Thanks though!
