Your Favorite Gaming App

Apps have many uses. They can be for utility, to take notes, or to check the weather, but this topic is to discuss one of the more popular types of apps; the gaming kind. Some have gotten so immensely popular, i.e. Angry Birds, that entire franchises have been born from them. Others have been iconic and found on every phone that supports the game, and of course there are thousands more. What is your favorite gaming app, and why? What's your least favorite?

I have Modern Combat on my iPhone, and I'm a big fan of it. It's a first-person shooter game, which offers a lively single-player campaign and an online multiplayer mode. It's almost like Call of Duty, but with slightly less graphics quality. I also like Real Racing. It's free, and it offers you a console-like gaming experience. One of my least favorite games is Impossible Road. The objective of this game is to roll a ball down an endless, wavy path and try to get the highest score. It may be fun to some people, but to me, it's definitely not. D:

My favorite gaming apps tend to originate from computer games. PopCap makes the majority of my favorite iOS games, like Plants vs. Zombies, Peggle, Chuzzle, Zuma, etc. One of the few non PopCap games that I love is Bloons TD 5 by Ninja Kiwi which is a tower defense game that involves monkeys popping 'Bloons' (balloons, basically) with darts or explosives.

I have a thing against apps that are free and require in-app purchases for progression xP
They end up costing more than a regular priced app if you want to complete it and aren't as good imo
