I remember beating E4 on Blue a number of years ago with a Lvl 100 Mewtwo and a Blastoise in the mid 80's. My plan for Platinum is as follows:
Infernape, Floatzel, Staraptor, Scyther, Dragonite, and Alakazam.

Lmfao, oh, okay. I was sitting here thinking "Either WAY too many people started with Gen IV as their first gen or everyone missed the OP's post." Then I realized this thread had been sitting in DPP for a while, haha.
tbh, I don't really remember my first E4 team. I think it was like... Charizard, Butterfree, Pidgeot, Raichu, Articuno and... Vaporeon? That would've been in red version. XD; They were all around LV100 because of the rare candy trick and none of them knew any good moves. Charizard's moveset was probably Fire Blast, Fire Spin, Slash and Ember.

The first time I beat the Elite Four in my Blue version, I used only Blastoise which was at a very high level by the end of the game. That was the last time I used only one Pokemon on a serious playthrough because the game was very boring using the same Pokemon.

It was my first play through of Blue, so... Blastoise, Pidgeot, Raichu, Gloom, Sandslash, and Kadabra. Though I might be wrong about Kadabra. I think I may have had a Rapidash instead... Oh well.
As for D/P/Pt (which was the original question, I think) my first E4 team was Empoleon, Garchomp, Roserade, Gallade, Houndoom, and Staraptor.
