Question: Youtube on Profiles

Hello,

I recently replaced my previous video, with a new video of a live performance by a Band called Slipknot, of their song "The Heretic Anthem."

This video contains mild scary themes and a few instances of swearing, but in the description, I have warned users of these things.

I am just wondering if I am within community rules to show this Video on my profile, or will I have to remove the Video?

I would appreciate quick correspondence on this matter.

I think the limit for posting and linking to content here is PG-15. So as long as it is appropriate for that age group, and you put a disclaimer, it should be fine.

If it uses words that would be censored if you posted the lyrics, I don't think it's in your best interest to put it up....

If there's a censored version somewhere out there, then it might be in your best interest to use that rather than the uncut version.

I know I've personally left a YT video untouched even if there are some questionable words in it just because it's the viewer's decision to watch, especially with a content warning (just like we probably wouldn't edit out a link to it if the link had a warning). However, if it gets any complaints, it's out of there.

Other admins might not treat it the same way so I do still suggest you find another song or a censored version. If it must be this one, though, I don't really have any major objections so unless we get complaints, it's probably okay.

Ok. Its just a lot of their songs have what some would call, questionable themes.

If Lightning or a mod watched it ,and made a decision on it, then i'll have a more definite answer.
