2014 for me? Hmm, my ex-girlfriend wanted to break up with me for no reason (and she broke up with me before and within a month thought it was a mistake), and I started college for the first time ever. I've run across so many people I haven't seen in years (one I haven't seen since 6th grade), and of course many friends from high school as well. So I'd say this is a pretty good year for me so far.

To be honest though, my ex dumping me meant nothing. After she dumped me, I blocked off all communication with her.

Seriously? Only 16 days since the year started and already doing retrospectives?

16 days of studying, studying, and more studying. And it will be like this for at least another week, but I'm foreseeing it to be two, maybe three.
Why so much theory ffs.

Hey, a good or bad start can definitely be a foresight to the future :P Agreeing with Alex, though, that anything is indeed possible.

Breakups happen regardless of the time of year, even some on Christmas I'm sure.. but maybe it's just a coincidence that a lot of PC members have had breakups into the first 16 days of 2014.

Oh, look at the seriousness of my previous post!

Moving on.
Anything can happen, be it good or bad. Makes no sense to me to talk about this year when it's been only 16 days and you can't know whether the rest will be good or bad.

Actually a majority of break ups happen during the holiday season. I think some of the factors include, but are not limited to, one (or both) of the people in the relationship not wanting to buy presents for the other, the stress of the season, and the fact that some people are really unhappy during that part of the year.

I remember my brother's girlfriend dumped him right before his birthday, and then they got back together a week after, once his birthday had passed.

How this thread got talking about depressing stuff like braking up...

Right, I started the "how's 2014" so I'm technically responsible for this... my bad.

Who the hell is so shallow to end and restart a relationship to avoid gift-giving for their partner? I can't imagine the level of depth that relationship has.
It was probably the most shallow relationship I've ever seen. They fought constantly and told each other that they were going to break up in a month, so why bother doing this or that. They each were in it for the sex, unfortunately.

Well, my year has been going pretty good. This quarter of college is going to be pretty dang easy, but insanely boring. On the bright side, my math class has now turned into my planning for my writing projects class. The saving grace is my intro to education class, which is actually pretty cool. In other words, I think I might have found my major in getting a teaching degree. High school LA to be exact.

Looking at these serious relationship posts, I'll try to remember to save as much money as possible to buy an expensive gift for my future girlfriend, because who knows what will happen, it might end up like School Days.

Oh well, love is overrated anyway, most the time it builds you up and raises your hopes through to unreachable expectations before the other one gets bored and trashes your feelings like as if you were just a toy to them.

I have no idea what I just said.
